Woman Banker of Gretna Dies After Illness
Mrs. P.J. Langdon, 60, president of the Bank of Gretna since the death of her husband, died of pneumonia Tuesday morning.
She had lived in Gretna virtually all her life and had been active in civic affairs.
Survivors include three sons, Wallace J. Langdon of Omaha, Paul J. Langdon and Maurice F. Langdon of Gretna; five daughters, Mrs. B.H. Patterson and Miss Regina Langdon of Gretna, Sister Ramon, O.P., of Chicago, and Sister Loiselle, O.P., of Sinsinawa, Wis. There are four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Katherine Schmitt of Omaha, and four brothers, John Hughes and E.F. Hughes of Gretna, A.F. Hughes of Omaha, and James Hughes of Venango, Neb.
Rites will be held at St. Patrick’s church in Gretna Thursday at 10 a.m.
