Youth Killed at Bellevue
Bellevue, Neb. (UP) - One teenager was killed and another injured Friday night when a Model A Ford overturned on the Bellevue High School baseball field.
The crash fatally injured Gary Moravec, 18, Bellevue, and injured Ernest Chaput, 17. The driver, Delbert Pelton, 18, and another occupant, William Schewan, 19, Offutt AFB, escaped injury.
Pelton, who was arrested on a reckless driving charge, then released, will be charged today with motor vehicle homicide, Chief of Police Harold Kinsey said.
The jalopy overturned as Pelton drove it in circles on the baseball field during a Bellevue High football game on the adjoining grid-iron.
