Colonel Ritchie Dead
Colonel Ritchie, an old resident of this section, died very suddenly of apoplexy yesterday morning at Papillion, where his funeral will occur at 2 p.m. today. Deceased came to this section something like thirty-five years ago, was formerly a wealthy farmer in Sarpy county and lived a long time in Omaha. His age was about 83 years. Colonel Ritchie had always been prominent in the affairs of the Methodist church, and enjoyed a wide acquaintance in Omaha. One of his daughters, Mrs. Spencer, lives on South Twenty-fifth street.
