William Robinson Dead
Pioneer of Sarpy County and Twice a County Officer

Papillion, Neb., Aug. 24 - William Robinson, one of the oldest settlers of Sarpy county, and one of the most prominent in its early history died at his home in Papillion at 6:15 last night. Mr. Robinson had been bedfast for the past seven months, suffering from cancer of the stomach and his demise has been expected for some time. The funeral will be held Saturday morning.
William Robinson was born in Morris county, N.J. in 1828, and came to Nebraska in 1857, settling at Bellevue. He served the county as treasurer and as commissioner. In 1876 he came to Papillion and engaged in the abstracting and loan business. He was a conservative business man and accumulated considerable wealth. Two sons survive him, James of Papillion and William Robinson of Lincoln.
