Henry Ruff Dies Week After Holds 35th Anniversary
Taken ill last Monday after celebrating his thirty-fifth wedding anniversary Sunday, Henry Ruff, 59, prosperous farmer of near Gretna, Neb., died Saturday afternoon at an Omaha hospital.
A crowd estimated at two thousand joined with the Ruffs in celebrating the wedding anniversary at Millard. Ruff had owned and operated two Sarpy county farms for many years.
Surviving are Mrs. Ruff and their five children, five brothers and three sisters. The children are Louis and Leon, Mrs. Viola Hansen and the Misses Caroline and Bertha, all of the Gretna vicinity. The brothers are William of Omaha and Julius, Herman, Ben and Ernest, all of Sarpy county. Mrs. Lena Cortes, Papillion; Mrs. Tilly Nieman, Elkhorn, and Mrs. Emma Tagge, Grand Island, are sisters.
Funeral services will be held in the Lutheran church at Gretna at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with burial at Laborde cemetery there.
