Jacob Tex Passes Away
Sturdy Pioneer of Nebraska Goes to Long Rest
Jacob Tex, who was a pioneer of Nebraska and came here in the ‘50s, and was widely known and esteemed, especially in Douglas and Sarpy counties, passed away Friday at his home at Sarpy Mills. He was aged 70 years, and was a well to do farmer.
Mr. Tex leaves a wife and eight children, and more than twenty grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday, the body leaving the house at Sarpy Mills at 9 o’clock a.m. and services being held at St. Mary’s church, South Omaha, at 10 o’clock. Interment will be at St. Mary’s cemetery.
