Winside News Notes

J. C. Bender, the Omaha agent, returned Thursday from a visit to his old home in Pennsylvania.

August Deck lost four stacks of grain Thursday by lightning.

Threshing is well under way. A small yield is generally reported and the quality of the grain poor. Most of the threshing will be done from the shock.

This section has had several fine rains the past week, which insures beyond a doubt an enormous corn crop. The best crop is also good, being better than ever before in this (Wayne) County.
