Red Cloud, Nebraska, December 1. – The C. E. Backet social held on last Saturday evening was a success.

 

One of John McIntyre’s little girls was reported very sick last week.

 

H. J. Clark has sold his marble and granite works to James A. Boyd.

 

Joe Warren is not found this week at B. F. Mizer’s grocery counter.  The vacancy is not yet filled.

 

The stores are already displaying holiday goods.

 

A local telegraph line for Amateurs Wegman, Sayles and Wolfe will soon be completed.

 

Mrs. S. F.Spokesfield was indisposed last Sunday.

 

The ladies of the Congregational Church has a bazaar advertised for December 15 and 16.

 

Mrs. T. C. Hacker suffered a relapse on Sunday last and on Monday was taken to Nevada, Missouri, for magnetic treatment.
