William Hupp
William Hupp of Wheeler County had a peculiar experience and a narrow escape during the storm of March 2.
He was away from home and became bewildered in the storm, but finally cam across a deserted hen house in which he took refuge, tying his horse outside.
The quarters were cramped but he managed to keep up enough exercise to prevent being seriously frozen.
The shelter, however, that the building afforded alone prevented his perishing in the storm.
