A Second Amputation Necessary
Bradshaw,
Nebraska, April 11.
Doctors of
this place and York, performed a second amputation on Mr. Joseph Prohaska,
living seven miles south of Bradshaw, who had the misfortune to get his left
foot and leg badly mangled and torn in the gearing of a feed crusher a week
ago. His leg was amputated at the time
below the knee, but owing to the bruised condition of the knee a second
amputation was performed today. The
amputation was made above the knee at about the lower third and the patient is
doing nicely and stood the ordeal in good shape
