Metropolis Cemetery

The cemetery is located at the end of a gravelled road, 15 miles northwest of Wells. The cemetery was established in 1916 near Metropolis, now a ghost town. The cemetery is in poor condition and is still in use by ranching families living in the area.
This record was compiled from all legible headstones in September 2004. As with most older cemetery there are gravesites with missing grave markers.
