This is a new site with a new host, Don Tharp, and we attempt to find and add data here that will help Nevada researchers track their family lines.
We need some help to do that though. We are eager to accept your family's data to place on this website. Or, if you have access to records of marriages, wills, biographies, obituries, etc., we would welcome hearig from you.

Pershing County is the youngest Nevada county and was formed from Humboldt County in 1919, shortly after World War I, and is named after General John J. Pershing. Records and material prior to 1919 will more likely be found on the Humboldt web site so don't hesitate to go there in search of ancestors.
Lovelock, the county seat was incorporated as a city in 1917 and is named after the founding father, George Lovelock, one of the early Nevada pioneers.
