Dolly Bascom, aged 76, widow of T.A. Bascom, died 25 June 1878 in Hinsdale. [The "Republican", from Springfield, Mass., submitted by K. Torp]

In Westmoreland, Mrs.
Lydia How, aged 91. She accompanied the four first families who began a settlement in that town, then exposed to the depredations of the natives, and was the mother of the first white child born within the limits of the town, about the year 1741. DIED, In Fitzwilliam, 19th Dec. Mr. Martin Rockwood, aged 35. [New Hampshire Sentinel, Jan 17, 1820 - submitted by Christina Anthony]

Mrs. Lena Whitehouse, daughter of G. H. Starkey of this city, died of consumption April 2, at the age of 20 years. About a year ago she was married to B. H. Whitehouse and they have since lived with her parents on Franklin street. She had not been in good health for some time and during the past winter has been losing strength. The funeral took place Friday afternoon, and was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. Rev.'s L. B. Baldwin and G. H. DeBevoise conducted the services. The Daughters' of Rebekah, of which order the deceased was a member, were in attendance and performed at the grave the funeral rites of the order.
