Joseph Warren Colburn, son of Simeon Colburn and his wife, Abigail (Vose) Colburn was b. at
Claremont, NH Apr l4, 1800 and moved to Charlestown, NH 1822 and lived there until 1839, when
he removed to Springfield, VT and m. 1840 Emily Edgerton, dau of Eliphalet and Wealthy
(Willard) Edgerton. She b. March, 18l0 at Hartland, VT. Their children:

1. Emily Josephine Colburn b. Dec 2,1842 m. Nov 24, 1868 Reuben A. Bacon of Washington, D.C.

1. Robert Colburn Bacon b. Mar. 5,1873.

2. Robert Morris Colburn b. Dec 6, 1844 Res: Spriingfield, VT.


The Honorable Joseph Colburn in addition to being a prompt and energetic businessman attained
to the distinction of being elected a member of the state (N.H) Senate. He also held other
important offices. He was widely known and very much respected.
