Feb l3, 1806 who went to California and was overseer or superintendent of the Quicksilver Mine at Almaden. He d. Aug 22, 1867 age 94. The Independent Democrat of Concord, NH for Aug 29, 1867 published the following notice of
him:
Rev. Jeremiah Day was b. at Preston CT Aug 3, l773 grad. Yale l795. Was tutor at Williams College l796 to l798 was apptd prof. of mat and philosphy at Yale in 1808 and President in 18l7 thru to 1846.
