Ebenezer Fletcher came to Charlestown 1808 and removed in 1824. He built the last house at the north end of the west side of Main St. now owned by Harriet Baker. The house standing first south of the Fletcher House as it was called was his shop. The name of his wife is not recollected. His children were Eliza L. Fletcher and Hiram A. Fletcher (a distinguished lawyer at Lan-caster, NH., Kimball (Fletcher) Batcheller and Mary Fletcher, also Lucy Fletcher. A very good character was given to him by those who knew him.

Samuel Laselle Fletcher son of Joel and Dolly (Silsby) Fletcher b April 1820 at Orwell, Vt. m. 1846 at Clare-mont NH Catherine Macauley Jones dau of Abraham and Susan (Long) Jones b. at Claremont May 1824. Their children:
1. Ellen Louisa Fletcher b. 1849 became a watchmaker and jeweler
2. Katie Marselia Fletcher b. 185l d. 1866
3. Mary Eliza Fletcher b. 1854.
Samuel Laselle Fletcher made his home in Charlestown beginning 1836 or 1837. He was town clerk 1849.
