Their children: 1. Lovina Thompson b.1846 d. 1857. Stephen H. Thompson came to Charlestown, NH from Reading VT in 1856.

William Thompson b. Jan 26, 1793 d. Sept 30, 1869 m. March 5, 18l6, Mary Burrows b. June 18, 1796 d. Nov 25, 1855 They had nine children: Elizabeth B., Abby L., William Jr., Frances Mary, Henry, Charles, Margarette Swift Thompson, Edward, John D. William died at San Francisco June 4, 1873.

Edward Thompson (fourth son of William Thompson and wife Mary Burrows Thompson. Edward Thompson was born at Somerset Place in Boston Sep 30, 1833 and removed to Charlestown, NH in1852 and m. Jan 27, 1857 Elizabeth Augusta Putnam, dau of Elisha Putnam and wife, Nancy (Melville) Putnam b. at Charlestown, Mar l9, 1833. Their children:
1. Mary E. Thompson b. Oct 3l, 1857
2. Henry Melville Thompson b.Nov l9, 186l
3. Edward Thompson Jr. b. July 20, 1868
4. Frederick Putnam Thompson b. July 17, 1872

Edward Thompson was superintendent of the Sullivan Railroad. He resided at Charlestown, NH in a fine house that he built towards the lower end of Main St. He did much to improve the appearance of the village.
