David was born on June 13, 1978 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma to Jose Olivares and Nita Dale Cole.  He was a smart, kind and loving person in his own way.  In David’s early life he suffered a great loss when he tried to save his younger brother, Johnny, from a drowning accident in which he almost lost his own life.  He had never fully recovered from that tragic day.

David was loved by all his family, especially his paternal grandparents, Jose, and Tomasa Olivares and will be greatly missed by all his family.

He is survived by his father, Jose R. Olivares and his step-mother, Eva Servantez and his mother, Nita; his brother Carlos and his wife Cindy of Las Cruces, sister; Rein M. Olivares of San Antonio, TX, and his nephews and nieces; Carlitos, Freddie, Zarethan, Xanthius, Honesty, Jusiah “Blondie”, and Memory.  Other survivors include numerous aunts, and uncles from Houston, TX, Kansas, and New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his brother; Jose Johnny Olivares, grandparents; Jose and Tomasa Olivares, and Cisco Cole, uncle; Juan Manuel Olivares, cousins; Jennifer M. Olivares and A.J. Lumas.

Pallbearers will be Ray and Selena Luna, Carlos R. Olivares Jr., Juan M. Olivares Jr., Joseph L. Olivares, and Robert Olivares Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be all of his cousins.

He will be remembered as a kind and caring person to those of us who knew him.  We love you David.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory.
