No funeral services are scheduled for Linda F. Lance, 58, who passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006 at home with her family around her.

            Linda was born an identical twin in Madera, CA, October 16, 1947.  The youngest of 6 children, Linda lived in Roswell more than 40 years, and worked locally as a private duty elderly attendant giving comfort to the elderly, sick, and especially terminally ill here in Roswell.

            Linda is survived by her 3 children, Allen Rhodes and his wife Beverly, Pam Rhodes, and Charles Rhodes, her best friend and loving ex-husband, Lee Lance, one granddaughter, her identical twin Glinda McPherson with whom she shared a unique bond and special love and her husband Gene, one brother, Bob West and his wife Helen, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; Logan and Nellie West, 3 brothers, Lewis, Marvin, and Steve West.

            It was Linda’s last wish that there be no funeral and no long sad goodbyes.

            The family has entrusted Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory to carry out her final wishes.
