The Funeral Service for Milton “Candyman” Chrisman, 73, of Lovington, NM is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Crawford and Dr. Bob Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovington Cemetery. There will be a visitation 6 to 8 pm on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Stevens Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

He passed away December 14, 2011 at Nor Lea Hospital in Lovington, NM. He was born February 15, 1938 to William Joe & Callie Christine Chrisman in Hagerman, NM. He married Wanda Almeda Smith March 13, 1955 in Lovington, NM.

He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was a Sunday School teacher, a Deacon and on numerous committees at church. He owned and operated the Sonic Drive In for 14 years. He worked for the Lovington Transportation Company and drove the bus for the school system for 20 years.

He is survived by wife Wanda Chrisman of Lovington, NM, son Floyd Chrisman & wife Terri of Lovington, NM, Daughter Joey Harris & husband Craig of Flower Mound, TX, son Leslie Chrisman & wife Jacqueline of Albuquerque, NM, 7 grandchildren Brad Chrisman, Amanda Chaffin & husband Collin, Joy Chrisman, Ashley McCasland & husband Sean, Will Holland, Preston Harris and Logan Harris, 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Bob Chrisman & wife Sharon of Roswell, NM and Lloyd Chrisman & wife Jenny of Roswell, NM, 2 sisters Louise Rhodes & husband Aaron of Phoenix, AZ and Ida James & husband Eugene of Dexter, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Leslie Ray Chrisman.
