Hardin, Olin and Elma Brooks

In 1905 my Grandfather (Frank Hardin), b: 1854, d: 1933, sometimes called "Colonel or Pops" by relatives came to the territory from Terrell, Texas, bringing his wife Sallie Gause Hardin b: 1861, d: 1939, one daughter Trixie and five sons, Olin, Charlie, Glenn, Boon and Waggoner.
They homesteaded three (3) miles southeast of Knowles, New Mexico. My Daddy (Olin Hardin) b: 1886 d: 1967, homesteaded just one mile south of Knowles, New Mexico.
In 1914 he married my Mother (Elma Brooks) b: 1893 d: 1975. Her father, John Wesley Brooks, was a blacksmith in Seminole, Texas.
Olin and Alma Hardin had four daughters, Bessie Frank, Johnnie B., Sallie Virginia (Gena), and Mettie Glenn. Bessie Frank, now Mrs. Paul Young, had a son Olin and a daughter D'uan. Olin and his wife Letha have two sons, Dewitt and Chad. D'uan married Sam Rush. They had three children, two sons and a daughter, Stacy, Samara and Paul.
Johnie B. is now Mrs. Emmett Martin, and they have one daughter, Patricia. She married Willie Largent. They have one son, Jeff and one daughter, Robin.
Gena married Lee Naylor, they have two sons and a daughter. Lee Herdin, Tommy and Kaye. Lee Hardin doesn;t have any children. Tommy has a daughter, Julie and a son Kenny.
Mettie Glenn married Pat Granath and they have four sons, Larry, Glenn, Neal and Tod. Larry has two sons and a daughter, Wesley, Clovis and Tami.
