Gleghorn V. V. and Alice

V.V. Gleghorn filed on a homestead one and a falf miles east of Plainview, New Mexico, built a four room house and moved his family there in April 1908.
His wife Alice and six children: Edna, Vida, Dale, Willie, Milton and Ella, made up his family.
Like everyone else he worked at what he could find to provide for his family. As the boys grew older they found jobs where possible. Times were very hard, but by raising a garden, and with what little income there was and a lot of love, we fared very well.
Edna married Willie Crockett, January 16, 1910; Vida married Elan Crocket,t January 16, 1910; Dale married Thearan Deere, November 9, 1916; Willie married Dick Cammack in 1924; and Ella married Claude Meadows in 1921, and Milton married Nora Heard in 1923.
Three children are now living: Dale Gleghorn, Roswell; Milton Gleghorn, Artesia and Ella Meadows who lives in Roswell.
