They all moved back to Eunice in 1952 to live on the King Ranch southwest of town. Correne graduated from Eunice High in 1958, just before their marriage.

Warren and Correne then went to Shawnee, Oklahoma, to attend Oklahoma Baptist University. After graduating from there, they lived in Odessa, Texas, Charlotte, North Carolina and Clinton, Iowa, before returning to Eunice in 1971 to live on the Matkins Ranch.
