Undertaker Killed at Hobbs

Charles Dobbins, an undertaker, was killed Saturday evening.

Claude Woods, a barber, is under arrest and is lodged in the Lea County jail here charged with the killing.

It is claimed that the two men had trouble over the lease of a small building used by Wood as a barber shop.

Dobbins was shot three times when the two men quarreled. Mrs. Dobbins was the only witness to the shooting.

Dobbins died on the way to Lubbock, to whick place he was being taken for treatment. A charge of murder was filed against Wood and he was lodged in jail in Lovington. His bond was fixed at $10,000, which he was unable to give up to the present time.
