Obituary of Ysidro R. Olazaba

(1916 - 2009)

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather

Ysidro R. Olazaba, 92, of Alamogordo, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in Alamogordo.

Mr. Olazaba was born April 29, 1916, in Alpine, Texas, to Aurelio and Rubi (Narzisa) Olazaba.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelita.  Survivors include two sons, Ysidro H. Olazaba Jr. and wife, Ruth, and Oscar Olazaba and wife, Dawn, all of Alamogordo; three daughters, Jovita McCarty and Ylda Hawkins, both of El Paso, and Olga Garcia, of Alamogordo; six grandchildren, Keith McCarty and wife, Liz, of Frisco, Texas, Kasey McCarty, of Austin, Texas, Mitzi Carroll, of Alamogordo, Jaime Olazaba, of El Paso, Leilani Malacara and husband, Marlon, of El Paso, and Katie Olazaba, of Alamogordo; and eight great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Carleigh Carroll, Chandler and Carsen Olazaba, Ben and Nick McCarty and Brendan and Kiana Malacara.

Cremation has taken place and private services will be held at Three Rivers.  The Olazaba family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral arrangements.
