Notes for OLD Section:
1) At a later date someone came in and put up the one headstone.
The little numbers sit in a row behind the headstone with it just kind of
centered in front of them. Laura Clayton was the daughter of Stephen and Susan Goodman.
2) Old list states Uncle Joe Curtis. A headstone has since been set in front of the number.
3) A headstone has since been set.
4) Someone has very recently set a stone. George Ferdinand "Ferd" Chatfield is the son of
Silas Porter and Rosetta Chatfield. Ferd was killed by Robert McGee. More about this
can be found in the biography of Robert McGee.
5) Josiah is not buried in Mayhill Cemetery. One of his relatives decided that there should
be headstone for Josiah beside his wife Mariah. Mariah is buried in Mayhill Cemetery.
Josiah is buried in James Canyon Cemetery. There is a difference in birth year between
the two headstones. James Canyon's is probably correct with 1814.
On one of the old lists it states that John Wesley Smith was buried in this cemetery
many years ago. No one knows the location of his grave.
