Four skeletons, probably those of soldiers under General Sullivan on his historic march through New York State during the Revolutionary War, were dug up at Endicott recently by workmen. The bones were found huddled close together, as if the bodies had been buried in a trench. The spot where the skeletons were found is believed to be almost the exact place where General Sullivan and his men had their biggest fight with the red men. Records show that near this spot an Indian fort had been built, the remains of it still being seen as long as 1845. Cannon balls were also found on the bank directly across from this point
