Kenneth Miles Ott, 72, of North Port, died July 5, 1996, in North Port, Fla.

He was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Parma, Ohio. He came to the North Port area in 1978 from Lakewood, Ohio He was a tool and die maker in Cleveland, Ohio for 25 years. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Cleveland Power Squadron.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of North Port; daughter, Wendy J. Ott of Parma Heights, Ohio; sons, Kenneth M. Ott Jr. of Orange Park, Fla., Dennis J. Ott Sr. of Port Charlotte; daughter-in-law, Sue Ott of Port Charlotte; granddaughters, Katherine Marie Ott of Orange Park, Fla., Nicole Brianna Ott of Louisville, Ky., April Elizabeth Jordan of Parma Heights, Ohio, and Michelle M. Ott of Port Charlotte; grandson, Dennis J. Ott Jr. of Port Charlotte; sister, Mary Wierchucki of Olmsted, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.

Oct. 12, 1839 — At Cleveland, Ohio, aged 63, Simeon Ford, a Dative of Massachusetts, graduated at Williams College in 1798. He was for many years a lawyer of distinction at Herkimer, N. Y., and held important offices under the government of that State. In 1836 he removed to Cleveland, and was soon after elected prosecuting attorney for the county.

Sept, 1854 —In Cleveland, Ohio. Hon. John IV. Taylor, for many years a leading* and prominent statesman of New York, aged 70. Mr. Taylor was born in Saratoga County, N. Y., in 1784. He studied law in Albany. In 1811 he was elected to the Legislature of New York, and while a member of this body was, in 1813, chosen Representative to Congress, where he continued until 1833. He was Speaker of the House during the second session of the 16th Congress, from Nov. 13, 1820, to March 3, 1821, during the passage of the Missouri Compromise. In September, 1843, he removed to Cleveland.

Cleveland, O., Jan 2- John Dingerstock, a mysterious inmate of the city infirmary for 44 years passed away at the age of 104. All that was authenticated about him was a German, his name Dingerstock, and a toymaker, He was 60 years old when committed April 2, 1863. The records remarked that he was slightly demented.
