WELLSTON, Ohio—Services for James W. Canter, 88, of Wellston R'. 3, who died Saturday  in Oak Hill Hospital, are to be conducted  Tuesday ;at  11a.m. at Rogers Funeral Home.

A native of Jackson County,he was a retired miner.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Iva Belle Canter, he is survived by a foster son, Albert Canter of Wellston Rt. 3; a sister, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Waverly; two brothers, John Canter of Jackson Rt. 2 and Frank Canter of Jackson Rt. 4;
two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Rev. Harrv Bininger is to officiate at the services, with interment in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
