REWARD--$10--Ran Away on Sunday, 19th ult, an apprentice to the saddling business named John Stuart, between 18-19 years of age, dark complexion. Whoever returns said boy shall receive reward--James Hull. (*11/7/1817)--$10--Stolen from the bar on 25th day of Dec. A Red Morocco Pocket Bood containing $40; also notes of hand in favor of subscriber agains Jacob Huffman, John Huffman; and a certificate of an acquired section of land entered by Jacob Huffman. Daniel Huffman, Warren twp. (-2/10/1818)--$5--Ran Away on 21st. of Apr., an apprentice to the brick-laying business named Stephen Tarlton, 18 years-5' 9". Ambrose Shaw, Steubenville. (*5/2/1818)--Ran Away, 19th. of August last, Samuel O'Donnell, an indentured apprenctice, about 19 years-5'10", brown hair. Michael Smith, N. Phila.--$5--Eloped from my custody, Dorsey Viers, he lives on or near Lake Erie, John Moore, Constable, N. Salem. (*9/5/1820)--Ran Away, James Bark, a lad of 12 yrs, bound to subscriber by the overseers of the poor. Benj. Tappan. (*9/17/1820)--Ran Away on 12th. inst. James Luckens, an indentured apprentice, about 17 years-5'6", red hair. Abel Wiley.--Ran Away, Amos Hoglin, an apprentice, 13 years-about 4 1/2'. Pere Dempster, Smithfield. DIED--At Salem, very suddenly on board his favorite Cleopatra's Barge' Capt. George Croninshield, and Samuel C. Ward, Esq., who accompanied Capt. C. in his late voyage. (*12/19/1817)--On 23d. ult. Wm. White, of Island Creek twp. age 48 years, son of Mr. Isaac White of said township. (*8/8/1818)--Near Boon's Settlement on the Missouri, Ccl. Daniel Boon, the first settler of Kentucky, aged 84 years. He was found with his rifle in his hand, and cocked, and the muzzle resting on a log, and his finger to the trigger. In this position it appears he died without a struggle.--(*9/12/1819)--On Saturday 19th inst., Dr. George Wilson of this town.--At Pittsburgh on the 17th. inst., Brevet-Major John Pentland, late of the 22d Reg't. U. S. Inf. He was at the taking of York and Fort George.--Drowned, on Thursday last, a Jerseyman, name Fearis. He was on board descending the river. (-9/26/1819)--At Dehassopolis, in this county, on Monday, the 14th. Mrs. Margaret Biles, dau. of the late Col. Wm. Wills of Northampton county, Pa., in the 47th year of her age. (*10/10/1819)--In Pittsburgh, on Tuesday 1st inst. Comm. Joshua Barney, lately of Baltimore. He distinguished himself during the Revolutionary War. He was on his way to Kentucky. (*12/12/1819)--In the vicinity of Bladensburg, on Saturday morning, General Armistead T. Mason, of Loudon county, Va., aged about 33 years. He was killed in a duel with muskets. He is survived by his mother, wife, and child. (Reprint from Nat'l Intelligencer-Feb. 8) also in Wellsburgh, Brooke county, on 11th. ult., Miss Eliza Maria Doddridge, aged 15 years. The daughter of the Rev. J. Doddridge. (*2/20/1820)--On Tuesday 4th, Mrs. Ealse Thompson, consort of Samuel Thompson, jun., of 'Two Ridge' near Steubenville. (*5/15/1820)--At this place on Wednesday, Mr. Garret F. Lynch, printer, aged about 35 years. He was an inhabitant of the county of Philadelphia and was

on a journey to New Orleans.--On the 5th of August last, on his passage from New Orleans to Philadelphia, John Hales, son of Mr. Robert Hales, merchant of this place. He had gone to New Orleans with a cargo of Flour. In the same vessel, on the 30th of July, also George Riser, Elijah Wise, and John Clare. The three latter persons being of this county.--Also, John Fickes, late of this town, at New Orleans, the 23d of July. He left a wife and several children.--On the 24th, at New Orleans, James Henderson, son of Thomas Henderson, late of this town.
--In Columbus, on Thursday the 19th. ult., after twenty-one days of illness of fever, Rhoda S. Smith, consort of George Smith, editor of the Ohio Monitor, (formerly extensively known as Rhoda S. Mitchell, of Boston), aged 33 years. (*9/11/1819)--At Chillicothe, on Saturday last, after a short illness, Mr. Benjamin Hough, former auditor of this state, leaving a widow and children. (*9/11/1819)--On Thursday last, in the 46th year, after an illness of several weeks, Mrs. Elizabeth Means, consort of James Means, merchant of this town. (Washington and Pittsburgh papers please reprint.) (*3/11/1820)--At his seat in Brooke county, Va., on Wednesday last, after a short illness, Mr. John Edginton.--At St. Clairsville, on the 3d, after a painful and lingering illness, Mrs. Jane Bentley, consort of Solomon Bentley, aged 29 years. She is survived by her husband and two children. (*4/15/1820)--On Thursday last, Mrs. Millar, wide of James Millar, Esq. of this town. age.--On Tuesday last, a dead body of a man was found in the west end of town which proved to be that of Henry Johnson, a stranger from Wilmington, Del. "His death was occasioned by some cause unknown". He was about 25 years old--On Thursday last, at 12 o'clock, Owen Mason, son of Mr. Thomas Graves, of this township.--In Green twp, Mrs. Ostrander, consort of Dr. Edward Ostrander.--In Deerfield twp, on the 7th inst. Mr. John Hyde, aged 68 years.--In Twin twp., on the 5th inst. at an advanced age Mrs. Myers, consort of Mr. Joseph Myers.--At Galliopolis, on the 4th inst. James Hamlin, M. D., in the 20th year of his age. (*Aug. 12)--In Twin twp., on the 21st inst. Mr. William Rogers, in the 75th year. He was an early settler in this country.--On the same day, James Gardiner, in the 13th year.--On Tuesday last, Mrs. Margaret Brown, in the 45th year. (*Aug 26)--On Thursday last, J. M. Shane, son of Joseph Shane, of this county.--On the 26th ult, after a short illness, Mr. James Taylor, in the 80th year. He lived in this vicinity for many years. (*Sept 9)--At Urbana on the morning of the 27th ult., aged 50 years, Mr. Marcus Heylin, merchant, formerly of this place. (*Sept 9)--On Friday 3d inst., Thomas Davidson, in the 60th year.--On Thursday, Thomas Fryer, lately from Cincinnati, aged 39 years.--On Thursday, Mrs. Sarah Thompson, consort of Abraham Thompson, aged 22 years.--On Friday evening, Mr. Robert N. A. Gregg, in the 22d year.--On Friday last, Mr. Joseph Keen, in the 24th year.--On Thursday last, Henry Peterson, late of New Jersey, aged 36 years (*Sept 16)
