CELINA, Jan. 7 — Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant View Church of God at 2 p. m. Sunday for Pvt. Glenn A. Piper of east of Celina who died  in a hospital in France Sept. 4, 1944, from wounds received while
serving on the Belgian front.

He was born July, 9, 1925, to Mr. and Mrs. Garnan Piper of Jefferson-tp and was 19 at the time of his death.

Surviving are the parents; two brothers, Walter and Robert, both of Celina; and three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Beougher, Mrs. Lola Staver and Betty Piper, all of Celina.

The Dick and Stallter funeral home has taken the body to the Piper residence. Dr. Tennyson Guyer will officiate at the services with the military rites in, charge of Celina post. American Legion. Burial will be made in North Grove cemetery.

Robert Lee Gardner, 79, 646 W. Fulton St., Celina died at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 15, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Celina to Albert Adolph and Elfreida Friemeiring Gardner. On June 15, 1957, he married Norma Jean Linn, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, three daughters,  two sisters,  15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Cletus and Tom Gardner; and a brother-in-law, Luke Borgert.
He had worked at the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys, and was a dairy farmer. He also retired from driving buses for Celina City Schools. He attended St. John Lutheran Church, Celina. and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.), Celina, the Mercer County Harness Horseman Association, U.S. Trotting Association and the Mercer County Council on Aging. He graduated from the former Immaculate Conception High School in 1948, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War.
Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Revs. Paul Baglein and Patrick Bayens officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, with military honors.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, with V.F.W. membership services at 7 p.m., and 1 hour before services Saturday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church.

Celina

Fred Bernard Stuehr, 87, died at 9:20 a.m. Dec. 19, 2009, at Celina Manor Nursing Home, Celina.

He will be cremated and the family will hold a private committal service in North Grove Cemetery at a later date. The Rev. Kim Miller will officiate.
Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Wilson E. Denney, 80, of Hamilton, formerly of Celina, died at 5:22 p.m. Dec. 27, 2009, at Hospice of Hamilton.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. today at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Richard Van Horn will officiate. Burial will be in North Grove Cemetery, Celina.

Friends may call one hour prior to services today at the funeral home.
