Obit: Andrew Throne, 81 a resident of Rt. Ewington, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Holzer Medical Center following an extended Illness.

He was a retired civil service employee of the U.S. Government.

Mr. Throne was born July 10, 1898, in Germany, son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Young Throne.

He is survived by his wife, Polly Caffins Curry Throne, whom he married Aug. 20, 1970 in Monroe, Mich.

Survivors include two sons and three daughter by a previous marriage: Raymond Throne, Oak Harbor, Ohio; Harold Throne, Sandusky, Ohio; Mrs. Helen Harnad, Florida: Mrs. Sophie Jones, Mrs. Mildred Williams of Dallas, Texas. Four steps-sons and two step-daughters survive: William Curry, Rt.1, Ewington; Claude and Tony Curry, Port Clinton; Jack Curry, Pomeroy; Mrs. Zelma Brock, Port Clinton; Mrs. Marie Wilson, Pomona, Calif.; thirty-one grand and 11 great-grandchildren survive.

He was a member of the Vinton Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton with Rev. Jerry Neal officiating. Burial will be in Vinton Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Obit: MAN KILLED IN FALL AT NUPTIAL PARTY
Skull Injuries Fatal To Resident of Oak Harbor

OAK HARBOR, O., Aug. 24, A 73-year old Oak Harbor man died in Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, Saturday night of injuries received in a fall down a flight of stairs at the Knights of Columbus Hall here.

The victim, Henry W. Hemminger, former owner of the Hemminger Marine Sales died of a fractured skull, according to Dr. C. R. Wood, Ottawa County coroner. The death was ruled accidental.

Sheriff's deputies said Mr. Hemminger was attending a wedding reception at the hall when he slipped and fell.

A lifelong resident of Oak Harbor, he was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Cora; a son, Donald H., Oak Harbor; daughters, Mrs. Donald Jeschke and Mrs. Ralph Aber, both of El Paso, Tex.; a brother, George, Oak Harbor, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 3 pm Wednesday in the church with burial in Union Cemetery. The body is in Robinson Mortuary.

Port Clinton, O., July 16 - Former Judge David R. McRitchie, 86, died at his home here today. He served six years as clerk of courts and two terms as probate judge of Ottawa county and took a prominent part in Democratic political activities. For twenty-five years he was a member of the Port Clinton board of education.

Born in Scotland, McRitchie came to Port Clinton when eight months old. his widow and seven children survive.
