William Blair, aged ninety-one years, died at Stryker, on the 2d inst. Mr. B. was a veteran of 1812. He was the last survivor of the marines who fought under Commodore Perry. In 1813, the Governor of Pennsylvania awarded him a silver medal for gallentry displayed at the naval battle which resulted in "Perry's Victory." This medal was proudly cherished by the gallant veteran and constitutes a valuable heir-loom to his descendants. His remains were conveyed to Mansfield, Ohio, for interment, and placed beside those of his wife, who died several  years ago. That his remains should be placed beside hers was the dying request of the old soldier, and exhibits a beautiful instance of the constancy of affection, reaching on through life, as it did, almost to the full and rounded period of a century.

Mr. Clever, one of the first to become ill with the disease, died at 5:45 a.m. today in General hospital, where he was taken several weeks ago.
His illness was diagnosed as typhoid about four weeks ago, and his condition was weakened in the past week by complications, it was reported. While his case was not definitely traced to Mansfield, it was believed he contracted the disease by ingestion of water here.
The other two deaths from typhoid during the current out-break occurred in Mansfield and Galion.
The third victim is the brother of Vance Clever, service manager of the Richland County Farm Bureau, and Mrs. Tracy Congwer, both of Mansfield.

After a five-day period when no new cases were reported, three new cases have been reported in the past 48 hours, with two of these developing since noon yesterday, Dr. M. C. Hanson, public health commissioner, disclosed.
The new cases are Mrs. Irene Bricker, rear 83 West Fourth street, and Mrs. Ida L. Nye, 42 West Augustine avenue.
It has not been determined whether the new cases were attributable to ingestion of contaminated water believed to have been the cause of the majority of cases in the outbreak, or whether there was another source of infection.
