LESTER SPARROW- (from The PANTAGRAPH, Bloomington, IL- March 23, 1977
 
"LESTER SPARROW- FARMER CITY- Lester F. Sparrow, 65, of Akron, Ohio, a native of Farmer City [IL], died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday [March 19, 1977] at Akron, according to word received here.
     His funeral and burial were in Akron.
     Mr. Sparrow was born Oc. 25, 1910, in Farmer City, a son of Fred and Madge [Van Note] Sparrow.
     Surviving are a son, Joseph; three brothers, Cecil, Indianapolis, Ind.; Bill [Essel], El Paso, [IL] ; Joe, Danvers, [IL]; six sisters, Mrs. Ruby Branson, and Mrs. Berniece Saathoff, both of Champaign [IL]; Mrs. Peggy Stretch, Colfax [IL]; Mrs. Mary Elliott, 1119 E. Monroe, Bloomington [IL]; Miss Patricia Sparrow, Bement [IL]; and Mrs.Virginia Murray, Gridley [IL], and three grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World War II."

 Gerald W. Svet

Gerald W. Svet, 44, of Spencer, Ohio, passed away Dec. 29, 1994.

Gerald was born in Los Angeles, Calif., and has been an longtime area resident. He was currently employed as a machinist at the Karg Corporation.

Preceded in death by his father, Joseph; he leaves his wife, Joann; son, Gary of Akron; step-daughters, Cheryl, Michelle, Kara and Sandy, all of Spencer; mother, Mrs. Betty Hess of Norton.

Funeral services 1 p.m. TUESDAY at the Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 811 Grant St., Akron, Rev. Robert Kuhns officiating. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends TODAY from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 12 until service time Tuesday. (Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr, Akron-Grant St., 253-8121.)
