Mary M. Walker was born July 7, 1875, died Oct. 14, 1900, aged 25 years 8 months and 7 days. She joined the M. E. church, at Sherrodsville in the year 1892, under the pastorship of Rev. M. C. Grimes, at which church she remained a faithful member till 1898, when she changed her membership to the M. E. church of Midvale, where she remained a faithful and patient member until her death. Mary was an affectionate daughter, a loving sister and faithful friend. As a worker for the church, Epworth League and Sunday school, she excelled. To know her was to love her. In both word and deed she encouraged her pastor in his many church enterprises. Her place in the Sunday school and League will be difficult to fill. For their prosperity and success she gave her time, her efforts and her prayers. She lived th Christ life every day, and when death came she wanted it as the drapery of her couch about her and lay down to pleasant dreams. At the time of her departure she gave the most pronounced evidence of her readiness and willingness to depart and be with Christ which is far better. Bidding her friends adieu she passed away triumphantly. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who so kindly assisted them in their sad bereavement.
