Mrs Lula Bellamy Dead.
The passing away of Sister Lula Bellamy, August 29, 1906, wife of L. D. Bellamy, has not only left a vacuum in the home circle, but among those who knew her many admirable characteristics. Her loyalty to friends was one of her crowning virtues. Truly she led a life of good feeling, good-deeds and good works, and it is written "Good actions are the invisible hinges of the doors of Heaven." Even to the very last was evidenced tender thoughtfulness of those dearest in life. Pathetic were the sweet words spoken to her family, brothers and sisters. Death was robbed of its terror as mortal spirit passed gently through the silent gate of time to eternity. The choir invisible must have welcomed the soul of one who had been loyal to all the nobler instincts of a pure wife, noble mother and generous friend. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Polk Crozier whioh were solemn and impressive.
Resolved, That Japonica Rebeckah Lodge, No. 158, has lost a faithful member in the death of Sister Bellamy,
Resolved, That we extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaving family.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of the departed sister, one spread upon the minutes of the lodge and one sent to the Stilwell standard.
Mrs. Annie Allison, Mrs. Mattie Caveness, Mrs. Mary Stannon(?), Committee

E.H. Bryant
E. H. Bryant Dies here Friday Night
Our town was made sad Saturday morning when it was announced that E. H. Bryant had died during the night after an illness of only a few hours. Mr. Bryant became ill Thursday evening but there was no thought of him being in a serious condition until a few hours before his death and but few of his friends knew he was really ill. Mr. Bryant came here some 28 years ago and has been one of our most respected and beloved citizens. He was born May 4, 1855 in North Carolina, married July 6, 1879 at Goshen, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie E. Bryant; daughter, Mrs. Earl Bates of Beverly Hills, California; brother, James P. Bryant of Kauffman, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Jane Byrd of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Mrs. Salitha Whittle of Purcell, Oklahoma. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Friendship cemetery near Springdale, Ark., and was conducted by Rev. Skillers of this city.
Everyone knew Mr. Bryant and feel that we have lost a good man whose place will never be filled. His memory will be held sacred and his life among us as a good Christian gentleman that was, will always be, an example for us all.

James R. Johnson, Jr.
In Memory
James R. Johnson, Jr. died at the home of his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Johnson Sunday night at 9:45 of Cancer of the Liver from which he had been a constant sufferer for more than one year. He was laid to rest in New Hope cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, after the funeral service had been conducted at the grave by Rev. J.L. Brown.
He was born in Ellijay, Ga., on April 27, 1874, and moved to this country with his parents in 1893 where he had lived since April 27, 1905, he married Miss Peggy Craig, and he leaves his parents, wife and a four month old baby boy to mourn his loss.
Everybody knew Jim and liked him. No one ever had a truer friend, one who would stand closer under trying circumstances. He was honorable and honeal(?), courteous and brave. He said before he died he was not afraid to go, and from his patience in suffering we are led to believe he was ready.
To his heartbroken wife and aged parents, and host of friends we offer our sympathy and condolence, and commend them to Him who doeth all things well and careth for even the sparrows.
