The Cimarron Territory Celebration is a week-long festival includes
a Chili Cookoff, Carnival, Parade, Team Roping, kids events, old fashioned church revivals, Poker Run, Hobby and
Craft Show and the "Cow Chip Throwing Capital
of the World." Beaver has been known since 1970 as
the "Cow Chip Throwing Capital of the World. This is held the third weekend of April, the annual
World Championship Cow Chip Throw is held as the centerpiece of the Cimarron
Territory Celebration.
Held annually in early September at the Beaver County Fairgrounds, the Beaver County Free Fair is a delightful family event that everyoneis encouraged
to attend and participate in. Featuring Stock Car races, a plethora of exhibits & contests, a large Livestock
show, a Ranch Rodeo, as well as Horse and Antique Tractor shows, and a free Hot Dog feed, the Beaver County Free
Fair has something for everyone.
