GILBERT

Friends in Troy received word from Rev. H. G. Gilbert, a former pastor of the Troy Baptist Church, of the death of his wife on Jan. 17th, from an illness of pneumonia at Walters, Oklahoma.

JONES
Funeral for Mary Myrtle Jones, 86, who died Monday at her home, was at 2:30 p.m. today at the Bible Baptist Church with Rev. W. W. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Walters Cemetery under direction of Wyatt Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones was born Dec. 6, 1889, in Warren, Ind. She was married to Isaac Jones on Oct. 17, 1903, at Warren. They came to Walters in April 1919 and later moved to Texas in 1929. They returned to Walters in 1937. Mr. Jones died Feb. 7, 1952. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Roger of Austin, Tex.; six daughters: Mrs. Chrystal Faye Mullins, Mrs. Mildred Sanders, Mrs. Opal Sanders, and Mrs. Georgia Rice, all of Walters, Mrs. Ethel Lowery of Shreveport, La., and Bettie Jo Jones of Shawnee; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild

JONES
Lela Jones, 89, a Cotton County resident since 1903, died Wednesday in a Duncan hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bible Baptist Church here with Rev. W W. Baker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Walters Cemetery under the direction of Wyatt Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones was born on April 9, 1886 in Burneyville, Indian Territory. She moved here in 1941. then to a Temple nursing home two years ago. Her husband, Clint Jones, whom she married on Feb. 5, 1906 in Temple, died on April 2, 1950. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons: Haskell and Vernon, both of Duncan, and Theodore, Hastings; two sisters: Mrs. Velma Tucker. Lawton. and Mrs. Jim Gunter, Duncan; a brother, Elmer Benson. Waurika: eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren

JONES
Funeral for Debbie Jones. 17, and her stillborn daughter, Angela LaDusky Jones, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Wyatt Funeral Home chapel here with Rev. Carlton Campbell, pastor of Calvary B a p t i s t Church, officiating. Burial will be in Walters Cemetery. Mrs. Jones died Thursday morning in a Lawton hospital from complications of the pregnancy. The baby was stillborn. Mrs. Jones came to Walters with her parents in 1966 and attended public schools here. She was married to Timothy Jones at Wichita Falls, Tex. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of the home here, and her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Sublett. Walters.

Walters - Funeral for CHRYSTAL MULLINS, 98, of Walters, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bible Baptist Church, Walters. Burial will be in Walters Cemetery under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral home. Mrs. Mullins passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, in a Lawton hospital

Mrs. Arra Rice Dies Saturday
Mrs. Arra Rice 65, Lawton resident for the past four years, died at 7:55 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital, following a heart attack. Mrs.Rice. who made her home with a daughter. Mrs. Ruth Hales, 3281/2 D. had suffered a previous attack two months ago and became seriously ill Monday. Services were scheduled for 3:30 pm. today in The Walters Methodist church, with Rev. J. Glore Reneau. pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Roy Galloway. Born Arra Smith, Feb. 23, 1881 at Booneville, Miss.. she was married Aug. 15, 1897 to O. D. Rice. They had lived in the Walters community about 20 years. Mrs. Rice came to Lawton following the death of her husband four years ago. She was affiliated with the Walters Methodist church. Survivors in addition to Mrs. Hales include four other daughters. Mrs. H. O. Ruth. Marlow; Mrs.Mabel Knight, Oklahoma City: Mrs. C. L. Lewis. Fayetteville, Ark.: Mrs. P. R. Smith, Corum, Okla.; a son. Lonnie Rice, of the home address here, and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister. Mrs. Edna Pierce and four brothers, George Smith, Frank Smith. Daniel Smith and Henry Smith, all of Thackerville. Okla. The Lawton relatives, Mrs. Pierce Mr. and Mrs. John Rice. 1012 D and Mrs. Otis Gregory, a niece, of Oklahoma City, will be attending the rites.Burial will be In the Walters cemetery under direction of the Pierson funeral home.
