Ellis County Oklahoma Obits Mrs Iva Lennington Hull Iva Wells, Daughter of Nathan and Ann Wells
was born in Martinsville, Illinois 28
Jun 1880
and passed away at her home 2 miles south of Fargo, Oklahoma, 16 Aug 1948,
being 68 years and 18 days
of age. She was united in marriage with Albert
Lennington in Illinois and to this union 10
children were born, two of whom preceded her
in death. Mr Lenningtom died in September of 1914. In August of 1933 she was united in marriage
with Bert Hull at Woodward, Oklahoma
and since
that time they have made their home on the homestead south of
Fargo. She was baptized into the Methodist
church. Surviving are the husband of the home, eight
children: Guy Lennington of Fargo, Mrs
Nellie
Corwin of Los Angeles, Calif., Jessie Lennington of the home, Mrs Osie
Gebhart of Wichita, Kansas,Grace
Lennington of
the home, Mrs R. J. Wilson of Woodward, Mrs Mike Schultz of Fargo and
Arthur Lennington of Kendall,
Kansas: two
step-children, Mrs Clinton Hardesty of Fargo, and Mrs Ruth Collins of
Canadian,Texas: 12 grandchildren
and one
great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs John Angle of Sumner, Ill, and Mrs
Nellie Osborne of Oklahome City and
one
brother, Jim Wells of Martinsville, Ill. Services were held Thursday afternoon, 19
August, 1948 at 2:30 at the Armstrong Funeral
Home with Rev D. Allen Polen officiating.
Burial was made in the Fargo cemetery. Transcribed and submitted by: Larry
Wells Iva Bell Wells married first, Thomas R.
Tingley on 22 Apr 1896, in Clark County, Illinois
and Guy (1899 - 1975) was the result of this
marriage. Guy was raised as a Lennington and never knew that he was
a Tingley. Iva was my great-aunt
