Eugene Robert Scheffe

Death: Nov. 12, 2008, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, USA
MULVANE - Scheffe, Eugene "Gene" R., retired from Cessna with 42 yrs. of service, went to be with The Lord on Nov. 12, 2008. Funeral service is 10:00 am Friday, Nov. 14 at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. Preceded in death by his parents Robert, Bertha and sister Lavada Olsen. Survivors are his high school sweetheart, Helen whom he was married to for 51 years; daughters Gayla (Will) Hascall, Jola (Mike) Springer, both of Wichita; brother Virgil J. (Shirley Marie) of Canon City, CO; grandson Jeremy (Jessica) Crocker of Peck, KS; great grandchild Corrine Crocker and his dog Jake. He was loved and will be missed by many friends.

Michael Birchfield
The funeral for Michael Gene Birchfield, 26, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin R. Duncan will officiate. Burial will be at 5 p.m. in Lenna Cemetery at Lenna.
He was born March 2, 1969 in Enid to Eugene and Betty Funberg Birchfield and died Tuesday, March 21, 1995, from injuries received in a double motorcycle accident near Drummond. He graduated from Chisholm High School, and worked as a cook in various restaurants around Enid. He was working at the Pak-A-Sak at the time of this death.
Surviving are his mother, Betty Rauh of Enid; three sisters, Carolyn Storey, Sharon Wilson and Shirley Wycoff, all of Enid; six brothers, Jimmie of Eufaula, Jeremy, Roy, Allen, Delbert and Bobby, all of Enid; and maternal grandmother, Beatrice Funberg of Eufaula.
He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Enid Man Killed
An Enid man was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle slammed into another motorcycle head-on while traveling on Oklahoma Highway 132 in Drummond, authorities said.
Michael Gene Birchfield, 26, was pronounce dead at the scene of massive head, neck and leg injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
The other motorcyclist, Jeffrey Delmar Nash, was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid with two broken wrists and a broken pelvis.
Nash, 34, of Bison, was in stable condition, troopers said.
Birchfield apparently was passing a van when his motorcycle hit Nash's, the patrol said. Birchfield was not wearing a helmet, but Nash was, troopers said.

Marcus Phillips
The funeral for Marcus Phillips, 88, who died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1992, at Enid Regional Hospital, will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Kent will officiate. Burial will follow in Roberts County Cemetery at Miami, Texas.
He was born Nov. 29, 1903, in Arkansas to Hugh H. and Martha J. Johnson Philips and had lived in Pampa, Texas, and Sulpher, Okla. He and Lillie Britt were married on Oct. 15, 1922, in Sulpher. He worked as manager of Barnett and Wilkerson Grain Elevator in Pampa for many years. He also worked for Pampa School District for a time. He retired in 1963 and moved to Enid in 1987.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Edward of Dumas, Texas, Bobby of Duncan and Ronnie of Enid; one brother, Izah of Pampa; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, two sons, three grandchildren; one great-grandchild, six sisters and four brothers.

Lillie O. Phillips
The funeral for Lillie O. Dessie Britt Phillips, 86, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, Enid. The Rev. Mike Kent will officiate. Graveside service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the Miami Cemetery at Miami, Texas.
She was born on April 9, 1907, in Sulphur and died Thursday, June 3, 1993, at Enid Regional Hospital. She received her education in the Sulphur area and on Oct. 15, 1922, married Marcus Phillips. They moved to Pampa, Texas, where they lived until 1984 when they moved to Enid. He died Aug. 11, 1992.
Surviving are three sons, Edward of Dumas, Texas, Bob of Vernon, Texas, and Ron of Enid; one brother, Enos Britt of Sulphur, one sister, Lorene Newby of Denton, Texas, 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was proceeded in death by two sons and one daughter.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Heart Center of Children's Hospital, Oklahoma City.

Death Claims Isaac Funberg At Age of 90
Isaac Funberg, 90, died early this morning at a local nursing home, following a long illness.
Mr. Funburg was born in Kansas, and had lived in Oklahoma prior to coming to Porterville 31 years ago. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Iva Caulk Williams of Porterville; a grandson, Dearl Caulk of Porterville; three granddaughters, Mrs. Evelyn Guthrie of Fresno, Mrs. Juanita Chernakoff of Delano and Mrs. Mary Roy of Huntington Beach; 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 13, in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Walter Markham of the church of the Nazarene officiating.
The services are under the direction of the Myers chapel.

Dominic Birchfield
The funeral for Dominic Birchfield, 1, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Henninger-Allen Chapel with Dr. T. A. Chick officiating. Burial will be in the Lenna Cemetery, Lenna, at 4 p.m.
He was born July 2, 1996, in Enid to Jeremy and Jennifer Beaty Birchfield and died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital.
He is survived by his parents; paternal grandparents, Betty and Donald Rauh; maternal grandmother, Linda Butler of Gravette, Ark.; maternal grandfather, Monty Butler of Lahoma; and maternal great-grandparents, Sherman and Nellie Oxford of Gravette, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather and uncle.
