Carter, Cecil Wayne was morn on May 17, 1925 .  He enlisted in the US Army on September 22,
1943 while living in Hennepin, Garvin County, Oklahoma.  while a Junior at Woodland High School.
His Order of the Purple Heart was awarded posthumously to Mrs. Jessie C. Carter, his mother of
Davis, Oklahoma.  He also received the Expert Rifleman Medal and served in the Southwest Pacific.
He died December 25, 1944 in action on Ormoe Road, Leyte, Philippine Isalnds.

Henson, Arthur, Steven was born September 9, 1923  to Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Henson.  He graduated
from Maysville High School in February 1948.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 9, 1943. A
letter from his commanding officer stated in part: "Your son was a member of the platoon which
was acting as a forward Reconnaissance element in action against the enemy.  This type of work
can only be carried on by the most courageous, inteeligent and versatin soldiers.  Arthur was one
of these men."  He died April 12, 1045 in action in Germany.  His rank at the time of his death
was Corporal.

Minton, Charles William was born on November 5, 1916.  His mother's name was Anna W. Minton.
His home address was Maysville, Garvin County, Oklahoma.  He enlisted in the US Army on
August 20, 1940.  His decorations include: Presidential Unit Citation; five Battle Participation
Stars in European Theater of Operations, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Order
of the Purple Heart.  He attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri in 1932-1935.
He graduated in Business Administration at the University of Oklahoma in 1937 where he was a
member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.  He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the
Lions Club.  He was killed near St. Lo, France in action on July 20, 1944.
Waldron, Guy Leon of Stratford, Garvin County, Oklahoma was born on March 19, 1917 to Mr. &
Mrs. Walter Wadron who lived in Yuba City, California when he enlisted in the US Army as a
Private First Class.  He attended public school at Vanoss, Oklahoma.  He served in the Medical
Corps and was taken prisoner by the Jananese on May 9, 1942 in the Philippine Islands.  He was
taken aboard a Japanese transport and they were moving out from Subic Bay, Philippine Islands,
when the vessel was torpedoed by a US Submarine.  He died on December 15, 1944.
Williams, James C. of Elmore City, Garvin County, Oklahoma was born on June 22, 1919.  He
attended Pauls Valley High School.  He was a member of the Pauls Valley Baptist Church.  James
enlisted into the US Navy on February 12, 1940 where he made the rank of Machinist's Mate,
Second Class.  He was on the U.S.S. Stong when it was torpedoed and sunk by the enemy near
New Gergia Island, Solomon Islands, South Pacific on July 5, 1945.  He was awarded the Order
of the Purple Heart.  His mother was Mrs. Claude K. Williams.
