Roland James Hargus was born June 17, 1929 in Cement, Oklahoma and died March 22, 2006 in Chickasha.

Lorene B. Harris, Greenwood
Lorene Barker Harris, 88, formerly of 309 Lawton St., widow of Clifton W. Harris, died Dec. 23, 2000, at Self Memorial
Hospital.
Survivors: daughters, Janell Alston of Hodges, Janice Smith of Greenwood and Karen Templeman of Camarillo, Calif.;
a son, Ted Harris of Inyokern, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. Predeceased: parents, Walter and Adam Dixon Barker;
a son, Billy Harris.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Harley Funeral Home. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Church of Christ.

Bonnie Harrison
CHICKASHA -- Graveside service for Bonnie Harrison, 81, Chickasha, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday
at Rush Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Tims, pastor, Chickasha First Baptist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Harrison died Monday, May 10, 2004, in Chickasha.
Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher.
She was born July 14, 1922, near Rush Springs to Jess H. and Edna Hicks Brown. She grew up in Grady County and
graduated from Fairview High School in 1940. She married Finis Harrison July 12, 1941, in Chickasha. He died in
February 2002. She worked at several places in Chickasha before retiring from Washita Valley Community Action in
1993.
Survivors include her children: Dr. Keith and Darleen Harrison, and Sherry and Gerald Grimes, all of Chickasha;
grandchldren: Brent and Amanda Grimes, Ninnekah; Angie Grimes and Jason Harrison, both of Chickasha; and Jennifer
Harrison, Oklahoma City; a sister, Betty Brown McAdams, Chickasha; two sisters-in-law: Lucille Brown, Chickasha;
and Gerteen Harrison, Marlow; many nieces, nephews and friends; and special friends, Florence and Carl Dunn, Chickasha.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Buster Butler; a brother, Malcolm
E. Brown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Orville and Agnes Harrison, ZD and Erleen Harrison, the Rev. Elmer
and Naomi Harper, Joe and Faye Harrison, the Rev. Willard and Maggie Harper, Ollie Harrison, Odie Mae Pendley,
and two nephews: Jim McAdams and Melton Brown.

Essie Earlene Harrison
FLETCHER - Funeral for Essie Earlene Harrison, 92, Fletcher, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fletcher
First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy McFarland, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Harrison died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at a Lawton care center.
Burial will be at Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.
She was born Sept. 13, 1910, in Memphis, Texas, and came to the Comanche area as a child. She moved to Rush Springs
as a teenager. She married Z.D. Harrison on Dec. 24, 1929, in Rush Springs, and they moved to west Texas. They
moved back to the Fletcher area in 1941, where they farmed and ranched. They also owned and operated a grocery
store from 1960 to 1972. He died in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Fletcher, the Eastern Star,
and the Share and Care Club.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Mateo Giammario, New Hope, Pa; five grandchildren: Mat and Mark Giammario, Melinda
Vinet, Ben Malone and Shelley Malone; a great-granddaughter, Victoria Vinet; a sister, Nevada Ogle, Elgin; and
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesse I. Payne and Hattie Mae Brown Payne; two daughters: Peggy Malone
and Jeffie Giammario; four brothers: Jesse, Roy, Curtis and Clarence; and two sisters: Lorene Tate and Sethie Helms.

Finis E. Harrison
Graveside services for Finis E. Harrison, 82, Chickasha, will be held at 2 pm, Friday, March
1, 2002, at the Rush Springs Cemetery with Paster Johnny Tims of First Baptist Church, Chickasha, officiating.
Finis Euwing Harrison was born July 3, 1919, near Rush Springs, OK. He was the eighth and last child of Zachariah
and Matilda Harrison. He passed from this life on February 27, 2002, in Chickasha.
Finis grew up on the family farm in the Rush Springs area. He later served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and
was honorably discharged from the US Army during World War II.
He married Bonnie Bernice Brown on July 12, 1941, in Chickasha. They were married for 60 years. Finis worked in
the oil field for many years. Finis worked in the oil field for many years, owned a gas station, and retired from
the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in 1982 at the age of 62. He enjoyed working around his house and spending time
with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death: Orville, ZD, Ollie, Joe, Maggie
Harper and Odie Mae Pendley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Rev. Elmer Mason,
M. E. Brown, Faye Harrison, Agnes Harrison, Buster and Edith Butler, and Rev. Willard Harper.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, of Chickasha; children: Keith and Darleen Harrison, Sherry and Gerald Grimes.
He was "Pappy" to Brent Grimes, Angie Grimes, Jason Harrison, all of Chickasha, and Jennifer Harrison,
of Tulsa. One sister, Naomi Mason of Fort Worth, TX, and 4 sisters-in-law, Erleen Harrison, of Marlow, Betty McAdams,
of Chickasha, and Lucille Brown, of Oklahoma City, survived him. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and
friends.
Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher.

MATTIE GERTEEN HARRISON, 95, Rush Springs, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Rush Springs,
with the Rev. William Dorough officiating.
Mrs. Harrison died Friday, July 30, 2004, in Marlow.
Burial will be at Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, Marlow.
She was born May 23, 1909, in Big Spring, Texas, to Marion Jasper and Maloney Fairchild Manning. She attended school
at Pea Ridge. She married Oliver Willous Harrison on Nov. 29, 1925, in Marlow. He died Feb. 25, 1998. She was a
lifelong resident of Rush Springs and was a housewife. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rush
Springs.
Survivors include a son, Clif Harrison and his wife Laraine, Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Doris Lutonsky and
her husband Marvin, Rush Springs; and a daughter-in-law, Antonia Harrison, Patra, Greece; six grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Bob Harrison; a grandson, Oliver Dewey; five brothers;
and five sisters.

Oleta Harrison

OLETA HARRISON, 90, of Rush Springs, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006, in Lawton.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 22, in the Rush Springs Cemetery, with David Hale officiating. Services
were under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Oleta was born Friday, Sept. 24, 1915, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Carl and Mellie (Hatton) Turley. Oleta married
Luther Thomas Harrison on July 7, 1934, in Washita. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1996. She lived in Medicine
Park from 1947 to 1976. In 1976 she moved to Rush Springs.
Oleta loved all sports, watching her grandchildren play and taking care of her family. She was a member of the
Order of the Eastern Star and the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, J.C. and Esther Harrison of Cache, and Thomas and Sherry Harrison
of Rush Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vangie and Herb Miller of Rush Springs, and June and Wendel Woods
of Rush Springs; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces
and nephews.

Thomas Lee Harrison
THOMAS LEE "TOMMY" HARRISON, 56, of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June
2, 2006 in Norman.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 5, 2006, in the Rush Springs Cemetery, with Robert Boling
officiating. Services are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, Oklahoma.
Tommy was born Thursday, March 30, 1950 in Lawton, Okla. to the late Luther Thomas and the late Oleta (Turley)
Harrison. Tommy attended Medicine Park schools and lived there and in Ardmore before moving to Rush Springs where
he's lived the past 23 years. He married Sherry Roger on April 27, 1984 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Tommy's hobbies
included fishing, deer hunting, camping, gardening, and all things outdoors. He also enjoyed woodworking, riding
motorcycles and tinkering with his tractor. He sliced watermelons at the Rush Springs Watermelon Festival for eight
years. One of Tommy's greatest joys was taking care of Sherry and his grandkids. He was a former member of the
Church of Christ in Marlow and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and National Guard. Although Tommy was retired, he
still worked as a volunteer fire fighter in Rush Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Harrison of Rush Springs, Okla.; three daughters, Debbra Siabolovich of Rush
Springs, Trisa Cast and husband David of Rush Springs, and Michelle Simpson of Rush Springs; six grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; a brother, J.C. Harrison and wife Ester of Cache, Okla.; two sisters, Vangie Miller and husband
Herb of Rush Springs, and June Woods and husband Wendel of Rush Springs; and several nieces, nephews, cousins,
aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Vera Westbrook and Oma Harrison.
Pallbearers will be Claude Marshall, Red Jimmy Brandstatt, Matt Harrison, Dustin Bratcher, Larry Joe Crabb and
Russell Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be Mel Doughit and Gene Taylor.

Don Ralph Hatzenbuehler

DON RALPH HATZENBUEHLER, 76, of Duncan, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, in Duncan Regional Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Christian Center, with James Miller, pastor, officiating. Interment will
be in Rush Springs Cemetery West under direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Don was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Byers, Kan., the son of William Joseph and Iva Mae Webster Hatzenbuehler.
He graduated from Byers High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy as an Engineman First Class Petty Officer
from 1949 to 1961. During the Korean conflict, he served in the U.S. Navy Special Forces.
He and Kaye Brewer were married Oct. 16, 1970, in Lewisville, Texas. He retired from General Motors in the Arlington,
Texas plant after 30 years of service. After his retirement, he and Kaye moved to Rush Springs and in 2002 they
moved to Duncan. He was a member and elder in Christian Center Church and loved teaching the Bible. He also enjoyed
woodworking, fishing, gardening and his Miniature Schnauzer dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Kaye of the home in Duncan; three sons, David Lee Hatzenbuehler and his wife Patricia
of Silverdale, Wash., Paul "Karl" Wayne Hatzenbuehler of Lewisville, and Alan Daniel Hatzenbuehler of
Galveston, Texas; two daughters, Diana Lynn Buchanan and her husband Paul of Galveston, and Shannon Renee Manry
and her husband Michael of Garland, Texas; a brother, Bill Hatzenbuehler and his wife Jacque of Big Cabin, Okla.;
four sisters, Carmen Weber and her husband Ken of Viola, Kan., Ruth Stratford of Byers, Marcella Renner and her
husband Art of Sharon Springs, Kan., and Eloise Jarboe of Pratt, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren;
and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph.
Bearers will be David McCoy, Israel Hatzenbuehler, Paul Hatzenbuehler, Daniel Hatzenbuehler, Joseph Speight, Michael
Manry and Tommy Howell.

Former Rush Springs resident RUBY WILMA SCIFRES HAYNES, 95, of Duncan, died Monday, January 22, 2007, in Duncan.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Duncan. Interment will be in Rush Springs
Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Ruby was born Feb. 13, 1911, in Marlow, to Hezakiah "H. A." and Annie Young Scifres. She married Isaac
J. "Ike" Haynes on July 29, 1934, in Marlow. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She was a homemaker, sold Stanley Home Products part-time, and was a member of Women's Auxiliary.
Ruby was a resident of Rush Springs for over 50 years. She was also a member of Rush Springs Baptist Chnurch for
50 years. She was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church and the Neomi Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Haynes and Leta Feldmeier, both of Duncan; three sons, Darrell Haynes of
Rush Springs, David J. Haynes of Duncan, and Larry D. Haynes of Blytheville, Ark.; three sisters, Burlene Faltner
of Florence, Ala., Geraldeen Bartley of Midwest City, Okla., and Ruth Davis of Pasadena, Texas; 14 grandchildren;
31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Doyle J. Haynes; three brothers, Fred N. Scifres, Floyd L.
Scifres and Lloyd J. Scifres; and three sisters, Letavay Oliver, Viola Rowell and Betty Cope.

Rush Springs - JANIECE WILMA HEARD, 71, of Rush Springs, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 in Norman.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with the Rev. Lynn Burton and David
Hale officiating. Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush
Springs.
Janiece was born July 3, 1935 in Rush Springs, to V. J. and Mildred Davidson Burton. She graduated from Rush Springs
High School. She lived in the Rush Springs area all of her life.
Janiece married Johnny Heard in February 1955 in Odessa, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2003. She
retired as a secretary from the First National Bank after 33 years.
She worked in the public and helped people in her community. Janiece loved to read and watch TV. She also loved
spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Harmony Sunday School Class and Southern
Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ricky John Heard and wife Melody of Duncan; two daughters, Sharri Riddles and husband
Ricky, and Jill Lyon and husband Ron, all of Rush Springs; seven grandchildren, Amanda Foat and husband Todd of
Chickasha, Chelsey Poudrier and husband Jason of Lawton, Amber Heard and Matt Hemmingway, both of Duncan, Timothy
Heard of Marlow, Taylor Lyon and Logan Lyon, both of Rush Springs; her mother, Mildred Burton of Rush Springs;
two brothers, Ronnie Burton and wife Pam of Marlow, and Lynn Burton and wife Connie of Richmond, Va; a sister,
Ann Hankins and husband Leroy of Chickasha; a host of nieces and nephews, several cousins, aunts and uncles, and
a whole town of friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband and her father.

Johnny Marcus Heard
RUSH SPRINGS - Johnny Marcus Heard, 72, of Rush Springs died Saturday, March 15, 2003, in the
Veterans Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Don Chaffin officiating.
Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery.
Johnny was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Rush Springs to John W. and Velma McDaniel Heard. He married Janiece Burton on
Feb. 7, 1955, in Odessa, Texas.
He lived in the Rush Springs are most of his life and graduated from Rush Spring High School in 1949. He retired
in 1996 as an electrician for the Merrick Co. He was formerly employed with Navajo Drilling for 10 years as a tool
pusher.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and ranching.
Survivors include his wife, Janiece, of the home; a son, Ricky John Heard of Duncan; two daughters, Sharri Riddles
and her husband, Rickey and Jill Dawn Lyon and her husband, Ron, all of Rush Springs, six grandchildren, Amanda
Riddles, Chelsey Riddles, Amber Heard, Timothy Heard, Taylor Lyon and Taylor Lyon; his mother-in-law, Mildred Burton
of Rush Springs; and four sisters, Billie Kempf of Mount Sterling, Ill., Dorothy Rachal of Louisiana, and Patsy
Davis and Shirley Decker, both of Marlow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Earl Heard; three sisters, Virginia Brumback, Opal Hodge and
Goldie French.
Bearers will be Duane Hayes, Rick Adamson, Jim Denham, Jack Stringfellow, John Dorman and Jimmy Williams.
Honorary bearers are J.D. Woods and Garner.

Orece Belle Henderson
Orece Belle Henderson, 84, died Wednesday, November 24, 1999 in Lake Meadow Care Center in Justin,
Texas.
Graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 27 in Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of the
Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. A family member officiated.
Mrs Henderson was born February 26, 1915 in Bokchito, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Strickler and Susie Cynthia
(Richardson) Strickler.
She was married to Hugh Leo "Sock" Henderson in Lawton on November 21, 1933. He died March 18, 1984.
She had lived most of her life in Rush Springs and Sterling communities. She attend schools at Rush Springs and
Sterling. She was a housewife and farmed with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Lavon Henderson.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Henderson of Lewisville, Texas, and Janis Golden of Marlow; five grandchildren,
Lori Ramos of Denton Texas, Kara Mauldin of Lewisville, Texas, Johnna Rene VanBriggle of Little Elm, Texas, Larry
Golden of Rush Springs and Haylee Golden of Oklahoma City; one brother A.C. Strickler of Rush Springs; and one
sister, Thelma Hinch of Oklahoma City.

Alvin Wayne Henry
Graveside service for Alvin Wayne Henry, 59, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Rush Springs Cemetery.
Alvin Wayne Henry was born November 4, 1945 in Oklahoma the son of Joel and Leslie Inez (Parker) Henry and died
October 15, 2005 in Chickasha.
Mr. Henry lived in Chickasha most of his life.
He was an industrial worker.
He was preceded in death by: Parents.
Survivors include: four sisters: Barbara Young, Linda Betts, Gail Falter & Lee Ann Willoughby; three brothers:
Doug Henry, Chester Henry & Junior Sanders.
Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Oleta Hensley
Funeral service for Oleta (Sizemore) Hensley, 70, of Amber, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m.,
Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.
Oleta (Sizemore) Hensley was born July 18, 1937, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thomas Franklin and Minerva
Jane (Townley) Goen, and died July 27, 2002, in her home in Amber, Oklahoma, after a brief bought with cancer.
She married Thurman (Bill) Sizemore on March 8, 1958, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1991.
She later married John Hensley on December 30, 1998. Mrs. Hensley was a long time resident of Chickasha, Rush Springs
and Amber. She was a devoted mother and wife. She worked for 20 years for the Postal Service and delivered the
star route, was a Chickasha school bus driver and worked for the Amber-Pocasset Co-op Children with Special Needs.
Mrs. Hensley was a member of the 9th and Colorado Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by: mother: Minerva (Townley) Goen; father: Thomas Franklin Goen; 2 sisters: Ruby
May Edzards and Mary Beatrice Jacobson; 1 brother: Thomas James Goen.
Survivors include: Husband: John Hensley; 2 sons and their wives: Bill and Kim Sizemore of Edmond, OK and Mickey
and Regina Sizemore of Fayetteville, N. C.; 1 daughter and her husband: JoAnna and Eddie Goff of Peru, South America;
1 daughter-in-law: Vickey Sizemore of Chandler, Oklahoma; 1 brother-in-law: Russell Jacobson of Sioux Falls, South
Dakota; 9 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Rush Springs - BLANCHE HIX, 83, of Rush Springs, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006, in Purcell.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Rush Springs Cemetery with Rev. Elmer Whitehead officiating.
Service is under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Blanche was born April 22, 1923, in Tulsa to Aubrey and Esma Williams Gragg. Blanche lived in Marlow before moving
to Rush Springs in 1949.
She married Odis W. Hix on July 19, 1938, in Lawton, who preceded her in death on May 28, 2004.
She was an insurance agent for 25 years at Hix Insurance Agency in Rush Springs. Blanche loved to play bridge,
travel, keep books and taxes. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.
Survivors include her son, retired U.S. Air Force Col. Max R. Hix and wife Judith A. Hix, formerly Judith Lewis,
a retired special agent for the FBI; grandchild, Stephanie Hix; and great-grandchild, Nick Vellanti.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.

June 1, 2004, in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Services will be officiated by Rev. Elmer Whitehead.
Odis W. Hix was born May 12, 1919, in Marlow, Okla., and died on Friday, May 28, 2004, in Rush Springs.
Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery, Rush Springs, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home,
Marlow.
