Karen Ann Earlywine Beckmann

Funeral services for Karen Ann Earlywine Beckmann, 59, 0f Tuttle, were held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Tuttle Christian Church.
Karen Ann Earlywine Beckmann was born Jan. 25, 1949 in Hiwatha, Kansas. She moved to Tuttle in February, 1976.
She and Royce Beckmann were married Jan. 1, 1972 in Horton, Kan.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lewis Earlywine.
Survivors include husband Royce Beckmann of the home; two daughters, Tamela Cotton of Edmond and April Elliott of Mustang; one son, Gary Beckmann of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Lofton Cotton, Quinton Cotton and Shelby Elliott; and her mother-in-law Clara Beckmann of Kensington, Kan.
Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle

BETTY I. CAVES

Betty I. Caves, age 76, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Odyssey House after a short illness. She was born October 22, 1931 at Bridgecreek, to John and Tressie (Eades) McKinney and grew up in the Bridgecreek/Tuttle communites. She and Bill Caves were married on June 22, 1948 in Tuttle, where they lived and raised their family. She was presently a resident of Arbor House in Mustang.
Betty loved to fish, read and spend time with her family. Betty was a recent member of Tuttle Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, one granddaughter Shelly, one sister Wanda and one brother Kenneth. Survivors include one son Billy W. Caves and wife Vicki of Tuttle, two daughters Peggy Smith and husband Jess of Oklahoma City and Cristi Vela and husband Tray of Yukon, six grandchildren, Stacey, Kimberly and husband Kolby, Lindsay and husband Paul, Jennifer, Candace and Zachary, seven great grandchildren Jordan, Madison, Morgan, Paighton, Savannah, Kamryn, Haleigh and Baby Kaleb, due any day. Also by two brothers Don McKinney and Claude, Dan McKinney and wife Billie both of Tuttle, two sisters LaNorma Canary of Newcastle and JoAnn Wakefield and husband L.G. of Tuttle and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends a very special thank you to Odyssey House and staff for their loving and personal care during Betty’s stay there. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Tuttle Christian Church with interment following in Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma. Ernestine Costas

Ernestine Costas, 89, of Tuttle, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2008 in Tuttle. She was born on October 15, 1918 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was the middle child of seven daughters born to J. L. and Mary Lou McClure. Ernestine grew up in Shawnee where she graduated from high school in 1936. She later married George C. Costas and together they raised two children Kathy and Charles.
Ernestine, known as Mama to her family, accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a young age. She walked through life reflecting her love of God, her country and her family. She loved her sisters and their families dearly. She loved and took care of her children and grandchildren every day of her life.
Mama’s legacy is her beautiful homemade quilts and pillows which won her many ribbons for over 20 years at the Oklahoma State Fair. Her “Hearts and Flowers” quilt was honored by representing the State of Oklahoma on the cover of the best selling book, First Prize Quilts by Dimetra Makris. Mama’s quilts were also featured in many newspaper articles, quilt magazines and displayed at quilt shows throughout Oklahoma.
Mama and Grandma, we will miss your loving touch every day of our lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband George C. Costas in 1986; a baby sister, Elva Louise; a sister, Margye Anderson; three other sisters and brothers-in-law, Thelma and Charles McColgan, Inalee and Holden Herrin and Jewel and Dude Osborne and brother-in-law, Floyd Paulk.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Ward and husband Dale of Tuttle; her son, Charles Costas of Tuttle; grandchildren, Travice and Shari Ward of Tuttle and Scott and Lori Ward of Tuttle; great grandchildren, Zac, Britni, James, Hope, Paige and Thomas; a sister Betty Paulk of Oklahoma City; and many very special nieces and nephews who called her “Aunt Ernie.”
Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Officiating was Rev. Alvin Garrison. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.

 Tony Carr

Tony Myron Carr was born on June 21, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Billy Myron and Sadie Mae (Wood) Carr. He passed from this life at the age of 58 years on Tuesday night, Feb. 17, 2009 at his home in Ardmore surrounded by his family.
Tony grew up and attended school in Newcastle, graduating from there in 1968. During school he was involved in FFA and his senior year he received the State Farmer Degree. Tony attended OSU and was a member of the Oklahoma Ag Leadership Program. He went on a 21-day trip to Brazil to study farming along the Amazon River.
He married Ruth Ann on June 2, 1970 in Tuttle. In 1970 Tony’s family bought land north of Maysville and started the Carr Family Farms where Tony worked on the dairy and farmed. Tony was a member of the the Associated Milk Producers and was named Cooperator of the Year.
In 2003, his wife Ruth Ann became the superintendent of Ardmore Schools and they moved there to live. Tony enjoyed fishing, hunting, grilling outside for his family, OSU, Ardmore sports and tolerated OU basketball and football. He enjoyed following his children with their livestock shows while they were in school. Tony really enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandson, Kort.
He was saved and baptized April 19, 1959 in Newcastle, and most recently was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore. Tony was a past Sunday School teacher, pulpit committee member, and Sunday School Superintendent. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ruth Ann of the home in Ardmore, his parents, Bill and Sadie Carr of Maysville, son, Ty Carr and his wife, Courtney of Ardmore, daughters Kayla Nicholson and her husband, Kent of Norman, and Kristen Carr of Oklahoma City, grandson, Kort Nicholson, brothers Terry Carr and his wife, Sherry of Maysville and Tim Carr and his wife, Dana of Maysville, Mother-in-law Elwina Marlow of Tuttle, Brother-in-law Chris Marlow and his wife, Gail of Norman, several nieces and nephews and by many other relatives and friends made throughout the years.
Tony was preceded in death by his father-in-law Roy Marlow.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Maysville with Dr. Alton Fannin, Rev. Cletis Lee, Rev. Ralph Chapman, and Rev. Charles Henthorn officiating and burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home of Maysville.

Wanda Humphries

Services for Wanda Raye Humphries, 78, were held on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle.
 Wanda Raye Humphries was born to Mary Lee (Steelman) and Robert Martin Earnhart on Aug. 4, 1930 in Oklahoma City. She passed away Feb. 18, 2009 at 78 years of age.
She married William Humphries on May 28, 1948 the day after they both graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City. They moved to Tuttle in 1965 from Meza, Ariz. She was employed by Southwestern Veterinarian Clinic in Oklahoma City and enjoyed being a homemaker. Wanda was a great artist of charcoal and enjoyed training dogs and was the training director of Oklahoma City Obedience Club. 
Survivors include her husband, William, of the home in Tuttle: son, Gary Humphries and his wife, Wanda, of Blanchard; daughter, Valerie Trumbly and her husband, Raymond, of Bridgecreek; grandchildren, Travis Humphries, Ryan Humphries, Dr. Alan Trumbly, Brian Trumbly; three great-grandchildren: other relatives and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Deborah Susan Humphries in 1951. 
Arrangements were made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.

Ailen ‘Cub’ Eugene Hood

Funeral services for Ailen ‘Cub’ Eugene Hood, 59, of McCloud were held Tuesday, March 3, 2008 at the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle.
Ailen ‘Cub’ Eugene Hood was born Oct. 20, 1949 in Oklahoma City, the son of John Allen and Betty Jane (Conner) Hood. He died Feb. 26, 2009 in Snyder, Texas.
The world lost an amazing man on Feb. 26. He lived most of his life in Oklahoma traveling to Texas and as far as Florida. Cub’s proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren. Cub worked as a motorcycle technician and brick mason. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union BAC Local 050K.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina Hood-Caldwell and Marci Hood, three sons,
John Hood, Zachary Heston and David Jordan, grandchildren Taryn, David, Anna, Seth, Bridgett, and River, two sisters, Nancy Clay and husband Roy and Pat Hood, two brothers Larry Hood and wife Ava and Randy Hood
Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Neoma Josephine Wilson

Funeral services for Neoma Josephine Wilson, 83, of Hinton, Oklahoma were held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Scott Baptist Church in Hinton.
Neoma Josephine Wilson was born February 21, 1925 in Nelson, Oklahoma the daughter of Lonnie Albert and Carrie Flora (Ketchum) Tucker and died April 23, 2008 in El Reno.
Neoma graduated from Old Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She and Buddy Wilson were married May 9, 1942 in Kinta, Oklahoma. She worked for the U.S. Post Office in Oklahoma City, retiring after about 20 years of service. Neoma moved to Tuttle from Oklahoma City in 1974. She attended South Oklahoma City Junior College, receiving a degree in accounting in 1979 and an Associate’s Degree in Business Real Estate Technology in 1980. She owned and operated Wilson Tax Service in Tuttle for over 30 years. Neoma was an adventurous woman who loved the outdoors, enjoyed music and loved to travel.
Neoma was a member of the Scott Baptist Church of Hinton. Every day she celebrated her life in Christ. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Wilson February, 1994; a sister, Freda Tucker; two grandchildren Christina Pinkston and Tracey Cox; two sons-in-law, Phil Pinkston and Coy Schones; and sisters-in-law: Arlene Tucker and Juanita Tucker.
Survivors include three sons, Don Wilson and wife, Kandi, of Hinton; Tom Wilson and wife, Andrea, of Tuttle, and Keith Wilson of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Teresa Pinkston of Vici, Linda Schones of Yukon; two brothers, Earl Tucker of Blanchard and Albert ‘Sonny’ Tucker of Tuttle; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Betty Lois Morrissey

Funeral service for Betty Lois Morrissey, 63, of Anna, Texas, were held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Sowers Memorial Chapel.
Betty Lois Morrissey was born April 7, 1945 in Tuttle, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ulis Ray and Lois Lonita (Davison) Singletary and died April 23, 2008 in McKinney, Texas.
Betty was raised in Tuttle. She was baptized at the First Baptized Church in Tuttle June 5, 1960. She graduated from Tuttle High School in 1963.
She and John Morrissey were married December 31, 1962 in Oklahoma City. She had lived in Texas for the past two years. She was a past member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, M.G. and Rosie Singletary.
Survivors include her husband John Morrissey of the home in Anna, Texas; two sons: Jeffrey ‘Scott’ Morrissey and wife, Ricki, of Weston, Texas and their children, Jeffrey and Micki; Steven Lee Morrissey and wife, Lisa, of Cypress Springs, Texas and their children, Hanna and Jonathan; parents Ray and Lois Singletary of Tuttle; two brothers. Bill Singletary and wife, Carol, of Cole, and their children, Chris and Kyle Gary Singletary of Tuttle; and his child, Brooke; and an uncle, Leon Davison of Tuttle.
Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

was born Jan. 13, 1996, in Chickasha, and died Friday, Feb. 21, 1997, in Chickasha.
She was named after Tess on "Touched by an Angel." Tess lived in Chickasha all of her life.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Leadford, of Chickasha; her father, James Malicoat, of Chickasha; grandmother, Carolyn Rowden, of Chickasha; great-grandmother, Mildred O’Neil and great-grandfather, Robert O’Neil, of Chickasha; aunts and uncles including Kalenda Krone, Anna Moore, Susan Christian, Robert Moore, and Kyle A. Moore and several cousins.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Rosco R. Shepperd

Minco Minstrel Funeral services for Rosco R. Shepperd, Minco, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct 27, 1984 at the Hazel Dell Baptist Church, northwest of Minco. Rev. Ralph McDaniel, Chickasha, and Rev. C.A. Webb, Minco officiated.
Mr. Shepperd was born March 10, 1911, at Whiterite, Texas. He died Thursday morning at his home at the age of 73 years. Rosco was the son of D. W. Shepperd and Ruby Pittman.

He came to the Minco community in 1937. He was pastor of the Minco Gospel Mission until it closed in 1978. He was also a retired farmer.

He married Geneva Maxine HOWE on December 29, 1928, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Ray Eugene; and 3 brothers, George and two infants.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine of the home; four sons, Vern, Jerry, and Larry, and Don; 4 daughters, Joyce HACKER, Anneitta Brown, Zelma McMahan and Connie McFarland; seven sisters, Clara Reed, Faye Wakefield, Dassie O'Briant, Lydia Genn; Tommie Beach; Ruth Pior; Viola Faulkenberry and sixteen grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. Pallbearers: Paul Hacker, Jeff Shepperd, Rocky FORD, Danny CLARK, Larry Willman, Wayne HOWE.
Burial was in the Hazel Dell Cemetery under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Homes.

Funeral for Mrs. Vera O. Chapman, 76, Will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 1981 in College Heights Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. C. A. "Pete" Spradlin officiating. Mrs. Chapman was born Feb. 2, 1905, in Tupelo, Miss.
She died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1981, in Grady Memorial Hospital. She and Edd Chapman were married in 1927 in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1968.She was also preceded in death by one sister, Samantha Smith, and one brother, Paul Long.
Mrs. Chapman had lived in Chickasha since 1926. She was a licensed practical nurse and had been employed by Borden General Hospital, Chickasha Hospital, and Grady Memorial Hospital. She retired in 1968. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors are one brother, Bill Long ; and six sisters, Villa McClung, Leona Wood, Alta Betts, Ola McDowell, Modine Stevens, and Gladius Stevens.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under direction of Sevier Funeral home.

 

Mrs. Edd Chapman

Funeral Services for Mrs. Chapman will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday Sept. 25, 1981 in College Heights Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chapman was born Feb. 2, 1905, in Tupelo, Miss. She died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1981 in Grady Memorial Hospital. She married Edd Chapman 1927 in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1968. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Samantha Smith, and one brother, Paul Long. Mrs. Chapman had lived in Chickasha since 1926 and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors are one brother, Bill; Six sisters, Villa, Leona, Alta, Ola, Modine, and Gladius. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under direction of Sevier Funeral home.

Ellonia Faye Malicoat

Funeral for Ellonia Faye Malicoat, 74, Alex, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, 1992, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Ninnekah, the daughter of Robery B. and Lena (Allen) Schoolfield. She died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, in Chickasha.
Mrs Malicoat lived most of her life in Grady county in the Ninnekah and Alex areas. She and Hugh Malicoat were married Dec. 26, 1941, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs Malicoat was also preceded in death by an infant son, and infant sister, and infant brother, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schoolfield.
Survivors include a daughter, Alicia Henry of OK; two sons, Hugh Jr. of OK, Charles of OK; a sister, Dace Vaca of , Calif.; four brothers, Nick Schoolfield of Ark., Paul Schoolfield of OK, Arnett Schoolfield of OK; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Woods Memorial Cemetery, east of Cement, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
