Pioneer Women Dies
A pioneer of Jefferson County. Mrs. Cornell was one of the early pioneers of Jefferson county, having come with her husband from Ohio in 1852. During the years since they come from Iowa Mr. and Mrs. Cornell had resided in Jefferson county.
Had Mrs. Cornell lived until January 17, she would have witnessed the fifty-fifth anniversary of her marriage to Washington Cornell. Her husband, who survives her, is reported to be in very poor health, and considerable apprehension is felt for his recovery.
