Young Couple Married

Probate Judge C. W. Goodrich issued a marriage license today to Earnest Patty, age 20, and Miss Amonette Blackerly age 18 years, both residents of Miller, Okla.
The ceremony was performed in the court room by Judge Goodrich. As the young man was a little under age he was accompanied by his father who gave his consent to the marriage.

A Gladish Surprise
Goes Home on a Visit and Returns With Bride

About two weeks ago Mr. James S. Gladish, the well known justice of the peace, left for Pulaska, Tenn., ostensibly to visit his old home in "Sunny Tennessee," but he returned today with his bride, which was a surprise to his many friends here, as but few of them had any knowledge of the real reason of his trip to Tennessee.
On last Wednesday at the home of the bride near Pulaska, Mr. Gladish was married to Miss Mollie Louise Scale. They left at once for Guthrie and are at home for the present at the Astor house.

Married At Noon

Probate Judge C. W. Goodrich performed the ceremony at noon which united Benj. F. Lee and Miss Ada Hawkins, both of Goodnight. As the young lady was under age the father was present to give his consent.

Wedding of Miss Ruth Dungan and Morgan Rouse Cartwright

The following from the Buffalo, N. Y. Courier, describes the wedding of Miss Ruth Dungan, daughter of Mrs. Blanche S. Dungan, who lived in Guthrie for a number of years.
"A beautiful wedding was solemnized at the home of Captain and Mrs. Z. L. Tidball in Auburn avenue on Wednesday evening at half after eight o'clock, when their granddaughter, Ruth Dungan, was married to Mr. Morgan Rouse Cartwright of Halleyburg, Ont. About sixty friends and relatives witnessed the ceremony, which was performed in the library, the bridal party standing underneath a canopy of asparagus ferns arranged at one corner, which was banked with palms. In the music room adjoining was Ragone's orchestra and as the bridal procession descended the stairway Mendalsshon's wedding march was played with harp accompaniment.
"The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, Captain Tidball. Her gown was of pearl satin en princess, with court train trimmed with point lace and seed pearls. Her veil was caught with lilies of the valley and she carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley and bride roses. She wore a diamond and pearl necklace, the gift of the groom. The maid of honor was Miss Elinor Cady Morris, of Guthrie, Okla., and the bridesmaid was Miss Mary Elma Dungan, sister of the bride. They wore princess gowns of pompadour point d'esprit over white taffeta and carried bouquets of La France roses and maidenhair fern. They also wore pendants of rubies and pearls, the gift of the groom.
"Dr. William Stanley Barrows, M. A. of De Vaux College, Niagara Falls, officiated. Mr. Frederick T. Armstrong of Erie, Pa., was the best man, and Mr. Norman R. Fisher of Halleyburg, Ont., was usher. The groom's gifts to his attendant's were pearl scarf pins.
"Mrs. Tidball, the grandmother of the bride, wore a beautiful gown of lavender brocade trimmed with white lace, and Mrs. Blanche Tidball Dungan, mother of the bride, wore a black lace gown embroidered with jets.
"The house was profusely decorated with pink and while gladioli and palms, and ropes of asparagus fern were hung at the doors and windows and entwined about the chandeliers.
"The supper was served in the billiard room on the third floor, which had been decorated to represent an arbor, with lattice of white, through which had been entwined hundreds of maple leaves in the autumn tint. The corners of the room were banked with palms and the guests were served at small tables. The bride's table of twelve covers was decorated with a beautiful centerpiece of pink and white asters and place candles with pink shades added to the charming effect.
Mr. and Mrs. Cartwright have gone on a trip to South America and will be at home after December 1st at Hailbury, Ont."

Love and Hymen

A marriage license was issued yesterday by Judge Lawrence to Mr. Lou Johnston and Miss Linnie Kennedy, both of Guthrie. The parties are well known and their success and happiness is desired by many with whom The Leader joins.
Clifford Timpy and Katherine Rider, both of Logan county, were also granted official leave to join hands in addition to the hearts already joined.

Reeder - Jones

A very pretty wedding was that solemnized at 8 o'clock last evening at 107 East Noble avenue. The contracting parties were Miss Mabel Jones and Mr. J. William Reeder. The ceremony was very impressive and was witnessed by quite a number of invited guests. Both Mr. and Mrs. Reeder are well-known young people of Guthrie. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Jones and is a lady well known for her accomplishments and many social graces. Mr. Reeder is a worthy young gentleman and will make a good husband. The Leader extends congratulations to the happy pair.
