Oklahoma City Frames a Valentine Welcome for Teachers
Malinda Brown, the charming subject of this valentine took one look at sunny skies Thursday morning and presented a smile equally as sunny, to welcome 4000 Oklahoma teachers gathering for the annual Oklahoma Education association convention Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Miss Brown, speech and French teacher at Taft junior high school, greets visiting teachers on behalf of 1,055 other Oklahoma City teachers, the convention hosts.  Miss Brown has taught for 10 years. (for Miss Edythe T. Wallace's welcome to teachers turn to Page 19.)
I had her for Algebra in the 9A & 9B, 1945-1946.

Basque Suit Is Teacher's Pet  a pretty ensemble calculated to add pleasure to a school teacher's extracurricular actives is being shown by an Oklahoma City store and is modeled here by Miss Laura Daugherty, 2519 N. Robinson, who teaches at Taft junior high school.  Miss Daugherty is one of many men and women from over the state who will be here for the annual Oklahoma Education association convention Thursday through Saturday.  This garment that delights Miss Daugherty is a basque jacket suit in gray wool flannel with a cardigan neckline, and a full circular skirt with front fullness.  With it she wears a white cotton eyelet blouse, navy straw hat, bag and shoes and white "shorty" gloves.
