| Charles William Dyer was born in Collin County, Texas September 1872 to Martin VanBuren Dyer and Palina Ann (Powell) Dyer. His wife was Lillie Morvin who he married in Wise County Texas on October 4, 1891. Their children were: Addie Ethel Dyer born October 1892, Obey Vernon Dyer born February 4, 1894 in Sunset, Montague Texas, George Dewey Dyer who was born on January 8, 1898, Quincy Dyer born January 1898, Homer Dyer who was born in 1900 in Texas, Vada Belle Dyer born Mary 14, 1904 Pontotoc, Indian Territory, Martin V. Dyer was born September 6, 1906 Pontotoc, Indian Territory, and Jewel Americus Dyer who was born April 1909 in Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. Charles William Dyer died on September 30, 1909 in Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma of typhoid fever and was buried in Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, his wife Lillie followed him in death also of typhoid on October 16, 1909 and is buried next to him in Rosedale Cemetery. | Lewis C. Cooper was born December 17, 1854 near Corinth, Mississippi and died in Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma on April 19, 1929. Lewis Cooper married Isabell (Belle) Dyer on July 17, 1878 at Denton, Texas. Her father was John Richard Dyer who fought and died near Stonewall, Indian Territory during the Civil War of typhoid fever. Her mother's name was Palina Ann (Powell) Dyer. Both Lewis and Belle were both members of the Free Will Baptist's church. After their deaths they were laid to rest in the Rosedale Cemetery in Ada. Lewis Cooper and two other farmers came to Roff, Indian Territory in 1886 and found farms to rent then went back to Denton, Texas to bring their families to their new homes. While they were fording the Red River, north of Denton, Lewis was in the lead wagon, missed the ford and gave the family quite a scare, but fortunately no one was hurt. Lewis brought his family to the Laxton community near Roff. Here the land was much better than the farm they left. In 1903, they moved to the Pleasant Hill community south of Ada where they lived for one year. From 1904 to 1927 they lived in the Pecan Grove community south of Ada. Their children were: James R. Cooper born August 10, 1881 in Denton, Texas, Otis Cooper born February 16, 1883 near Denton, Texas, John Dee Cooper born July 16, 1886 near Denton, Texas, Martin B. Cooper born April 19, 1888 in Roff, Indian Territory died May 5, 1888 in Roff, Marshall Cooper was born August 9, 1889 at Roff Indian Territory, Lula Cooper was born March 19, 1892 at Roff Indian Territory and died February 1898 and is buried in the Roff Cemetery, Zula Cooper was born April 23, 1893 at Roff Indian Territory, Gladys Cooper was born January 2, 1898 at Roff Indian Territory and died April 5, 1899 at Roff and is buried in the Roff Cemetery, and lastly Faye Cooper was born August 2, 1900 near Roff, Indian Territory, Most of their children remained near the Ada area. | ![]() Taken on their 50th wedding anniversary on July 17, 1928 |

Elga Louise Dyer was born in Denton, Texas May 1868 to Martin VanBuren Dyer and Palina Ann (Powell) Dyer. She was married to Charles Albert Jennings November 8, 1891 at Decater, Wise County, Texas. She died in 1899 at Fitzhugh, Indian Territory and was buried in the Frisco Cemetery, unfortunately her grave was never marked. Elga and Charles had three children: Oscar VanBuren Jennings born October 28, 1892 in Montague County, Texas, Ellis Pat Jennings who was born January 24, 1894 in Montague County, Texas, and Evaline Jennings born on February 20, 1897 in Montague County, Texas. They made the move to Chickasaw Indian Territory between the birth of their last child and Elga's death in 1899. Their children remained in the Pontotoc County area most of their lives. |
| Dock David Dyer was the youngest child of Martin VanBuren Dyer and Palina Ann (Powell) Dyer. He was born April 18, 1877 in Collin County, Texas. He was first married to Nory Wright on October 10, 1897 at Roff, Indian Territory. I have not found any information on Nory or her family. I do not know if she died or if they were divorced but he married Edna Blanche (Helm) Littleton on January 39, 1906 at Earlsboro, Pottawatomie, Oklahoma. He and Edna had two children: Vernie Martin Dyer and Virgil Wallace Dyer. Dock and his family moved from Earlsboro to Oklahoma City. I have been told he was a very quiet man and did not speak of his family much. The only sibling that I ever heard anything of was his oldest sister Belle. He died on October 16, 1937 of heart failure and is buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery in far northwest Oklahoma City. | ![]() |

Jewel Americus Dyer was the youngest daughter of Charles William Dyer and Lillie (Morvin) Dyer. Jewel was born in Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma on March 15, 1907. She married Clarence Oliver in Ada about 1928. Clarence Oliver was born May 1, 1906. They were the parents of two children: Clarence G. Oliver and Jane Alice Oliver. Jewel died August 21, 1984 and Clarence died March 1972 in Ada. They are buried in Rosedale Cemetery. | ![]() |

Addie Ethel Dyer was born October 12 1892 to Charles William
Dyer and Lillie Morvin. She came to the Indian
Territory with her
parents while still a
child. She married Bruce Alexander Click in
Ada in about 1909. They were the owners and
operators of Click Taxi
in Ada for many years along
with Bruce's siblings. Addie and Bruce
were
the parents of five children. Clyde Alexander Click was born in
Ada in 1910; Ethel (Click) Bennett was born January
23, 1912 in Ada;
Claude Click was born May 15, 1913;
Audrey Blaine Click was born on April
8, 1915; and
Beulah Marie Click was born on August 24, 1918 in
Ada. Bruce Alexander Click died in 1943 in Ada and Addie Ethel (Dyer) Click died December 1968 in Ada. Both are buried in the Rosedale Cemetery. |

Forrest Dyer was the son of Charles William Dyer and Lillie Morvin Dyer and was born in Pontotoc, Indian Territory May 13, 1902. He enlisted in the service during World War II on June 29, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is shown as single with no dependants with the usual occupation of an automobile serviceman. It showed his education as completing elementary school. In died in Ada, Pontotoc, Oklahoma April 1969 and is buried in the Rosedale Cemetery. |

Minnie Faye Cooper was the youngest daughter of Isabell (Belle) Dyer Cooper and Lewis Cooper. She was born in Roff, Indian Territory on August 2, 1900. She married Alva Walter Oliver in Ada, Pontotoc, Oklahoma on February 23, 1919. She died June 26, 1988 and is buried in Rosedale Cemetery. Alva was born March 23, 1893 to George Clinton Oliver and Sarah Alice Price in Sparta, White County, Tennessee. Alva and Minnie Faye were both of the Methodist religion and Alva was a minister, serving many conregations ministering unto the people. Alva died June 16, 1965 in Ada and is also buried in the Rosedale Cemetery. They were the parents of three children the first being Alva Lee Oliver born June 29, 1920 in Ada; Elva Faye (Oliver) Martin was born September 4, 1923; and Joy Mae (Oliver) Massengill was born April 26, 1930. |

George Clinton Oliver was born to Burrell Wood Oliver and Frances C.
Sayors on December 21, 1871 in Sparta, White County,
Tennessee. He
married Sarah Alice Price who was born on December 25, 1875. the daughter of Jackson Price and Lockey Rice. George was the schoolmaster at the one-room Walnut Grove School in White County, Tennessee and then after the move to the Chickasaw Indian Territory he became the schoolmaster at the Pecan Grove School. George died August 21, 1946 in Ada and Sarah died on July 14, 1952. |
