This is a picture of John Franklin Reed, who was born January 1853 in
Illinois. He was married to Ida R. Cannon. In the picture with
him his their two youngest chilren, William Reed and Ida Mae Reed.
Ida Mae Reed married Charley Oscar Helm on November 16, 1910 at Earlsboro,
Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. Ida was born in 1894 and died in
Pottawatomie County in 1928. She is buried in the Union Cemetery
along with three of her children: Loyd and Marvin who died in the same
year. John Franklin Reed died in Pottawatomie County prior to
1920. His first wife Ida preceeded him in death in 1894 in
Nebraska. His second wife Elizabeth Kibel Reed died December 28,
