REINNETS, DAUGHTER
A 6-year-old daughter of W. A. Reinnets of Alum, Woods county, was bitten by a large rattle snake while playing in the yard about 4 o'clock Friday afternoon. Doctors were at once summoned and everything possible done to save her but she died in great agony about 9 o'clock. (The Dallas Morning News, September 18, 1899, page 5 - Submitted by Peggy Thompson)
