1893 Tax Assessment Roll for Coos County, Oregon

Published in 1893. Transcribed by Robyn Greenlund

The following are the actual pages from the 1893 tax assessment roll for Coos County, Oregon. This index contains only the name of the individual. Click here for the transcription of the book.

In the absence of an 1890 Federal Census, these names can be used to help identify people who owned property in Coos county in the early 1890's. Those listed with (Estate) after their names, likely indicate individuals who had died in the previous year, but their estates were not settled yet. Additionally, those individuals where the page reference is a lower page number (before 180) were likely long time residents of the county, while those with higher number pages were recent newcomers to the area.
